La Quinta by Wyndham Queenstown

This is a newer hotel only minutes from the airport. The standard room is basic room nothing special. I had to stay because of the storm that caused all flights to be cancelled. I ended up having to stay in a 1 bedroom unit because there is no staff on the 3rd shift. I had freezer packs for my med bag that needed to be frozen. The standard room has a mini fridge with tiny freezer section but the don't freeze solid enough for long flights. One bedroom unit was nice even had washer n dryer. Other than no reception for my quick stay was a nice hotel.

Can’t complain. Definitely a 4 star hotel. Comfy room with clean linen, bathroom, gym, and friendly reception staff. Walking distance to shops and even airport.nnNothing in mini bar fridge though and would have been nice to be provided a bottle of water

We stayed here at the tail end of our 2 week trip around the south Island as it is close to the airport and away from the hustle and bustle and have no regrets. We booked an extra night arriving a day earlier and the staff were so accommodating, let us upgrade our room which meant we got a private washer and dryer so we could do our washing here instead of taking it all home to do straight after our holiday- what a win!nThe parking situation isn't as bad as some reviews state, there is plenty of parking but it does get full from about 3pm onwards but the overflow parking isn't far and is $10 a day with the app which honselty isn't that bad.nThere's plenty around in terms of food, coffee and supermarkets but it is about a 15 minute drive out of Central Queenstown.nThe staff have all been amazing, the room is clean and comfortable, there is sky TV but no streaming which is the only negative thing and that's not even that bad.nOverall it's been a great experience, would stay again, a great way to wind down after 2 weeks of travelling and eases the stress of getting to the airport on time as we are not far from here.

I’m writing this review while still at the hotel because I’m so impressed! My wife and I are absolutely loving it here. One of the most amazing surprises is that the entire area around the hotel is like a bunny rabbit paradise! Everywhere you walk, you see rabbits hopping around—it’s such a unique and magical experience. We had no idea about this when we booked, and it’s made our stay even more special. Highly recommend this place!

Rooms and service are ok. The room has a little stool and bedside table they try to pawn off like an actual area to sit down. This is definitely not a 4 star quality hotel and I wouldn’t recommend staying here for any length of time.nnLots of traffic of people going in/out due to its proximity to the airport. This doesn’t help to be right beside elevators and main entrance door. Constant foot traffic and banging of doors. Parking is available if you’re able to get a spot they will mention to you on check in. If you don’t get a spot you will have to park and pay a short walking distance away from the hotel. If you want to venture into town it’s a solid 20min drivecheck before booking. It’s fine for one night stop but I wouldn’t stay here more than one night. Thankfully booked only one night. Wouldn’t stay again :
