Unnecessary Hassle Over Age VerificationnnI recently visited with my mother and sister, which turned into an unexpectedly frustrating experience. Upon reaching the cashier named Richie to pay for our items, including alcohol, she called over a colleague to handle the transaction. This individual, who notably lacked a name badge, requested an ID from us. Despite being 32 and accompanied by my 60-year-old mother, we were taken aback by the request. We informed him that we were together and that my mother would be paying.nnHe insisted on seeing my mother's passport, but we only had her driver's license, which he refused to accept. Without any explanation or sense of courtesy, he removed the bottles from our purchase. After paying for the remaining items, I approached him to discuss the store's policy, which I had photographed earlier. The policy clearly states that if a person appears over 25, ID verification isn't necessary—this should apply doubly to my mother, who is well over that age.nnHis explanations were convoluted and untruthful, leading to a discussion with the cashier. I requested to speak with the manager, who immediately understood the situation. She was very kind and helpful, apologizing for the inconvenience and returning the confiscated bottles to us. We completed the purchase and left the store.nnHowever, the encounter left us feeling belittled by the employee's conduct, reflecting poorly on the store's customer service standards. It's disheartening when enforcement of policies lacks common sense and respect for customers.

One of the best and most budget-friendly supermarkets in comparison to others for your shopping needs. It offers an extensive range of products, providing a wide variety of choices. I would always choose this for my groceries.

Bloody disgusting , I brought 3 punnets of strawberries from Rotorua Pak'n'Save yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 3-Jan-2024 while I was doing grocery shopping. Thought the grandchildren would love to have Strawberries with dipping chocolate after their dinner tonight, when I opened all 3 punnets were covered in fungus. The grandchildren were very upset . The manager of Rotorua Pak'n'Save, you're a disgrace selling your rotten products to your customers...

I experienced the worst day of my life. The worst customer service leaves me speechless. I told them I wasn't a trader, but they kept misunderstanding me, and they took my entire cart, leaving only one bag of rice out of the items I had purchased. I went to the customer desk and asked another employee for help, but they still mistook me for a trader and asked me to come the next day. More importantly, I explained the situation through a formal complaint, but I never heard an apology from the employee who treated me rudely. Also, I was even more surprised by their unwillingness to tell me the name of the employee even when I asked them to make a complaint. I am really disappointed with the poor quality customer service. Please properly educate your employees on what customer service is.

So incredibly busy!nHuge carpark but was still hard to find a park when we were there.nBit of an awkward place being on the corner of such busy roads too.nnOtherwise, no issues with my shopping experience and it was interesting to see the different products/food items that I've not seen in other paknsaves before
