New World Supermarket Devonport

From time to time there are excellent deals in the store however apart from shopping for good deals, an equally important aspect is customer service. Where once I felt saddened by the lack of care 20-30 years ago, I now feel compelled to mention the wonderful service from one of the managers, Mihir hopefully I have got the name correct. Mihir is always cheerful, and takes great care of the customers. Another shout out to Victor as well, who has been at the Devonport store, also for many years and is so lovely to have a quick chat with on my visits. Both employees are a credit to New World.

Had a fantastic customer service experience just now with Sibram From the butchery department Apologies if i have spelt his name wrong He went through the whole butchery fridge looking for a specific brand of whole beef scotch and came up trumps. Was not a problem to him Even when i asked of he had a smaller piece

We bought this cake for our son’s birthday today, and we are really disappointed. Our son was so excited for a sprinkle cake, and honestly we were too. We paid almost $50, but it was basically just plain vanilla mud sponge with a little cream and sprinkles on the outside. There were no proper layers, no flavour, and it did not feel like the cake we expected at all.nnBanana bread or carrot cake would have been a much better choice than this. They should honestly change the name to “vanilla mud” or something — this was not a cake at all.nnSadly, our celebration ended in disappointment

Clean and easy to find everything. Friendly staff. Nice to shop there.

Generally good range and full shelves. Deli salad selection leaves a lot to be desired and hot case can be hit or miss.
