McDonald's Wairau Road

This McDonald seemed short of staffs as they served food slow than other branches. We spent 15 mins for my coffee in the last visit a few weeks ago. Another disappointment today as they forgot my cheese burger. We were in hurry so didn’t check the takeaway bag at the restaurant. Food quality was still good. But we will not come back again.

Unbelievable customer service, shocking quality and quantity of food, horrible food hygiene, do not recommend to anyone.nnWe ordered our order though drive through, waited for 5 mins for no reason at the speakers this staff at drive through was polite to be fair, but when I finally get to the window, he was wearing plastic gloves and allocated me to use the paywave on the wall, after I paid, he gone back to cut tomatoes, with the same gloves.nn1st soft serve to us was tiny, and you can see it's not in its shape because it was already melted, told the staff I can't accept it because it is so small, he gone back to his manager I believe, she s in different uniform with it and more soft serve came, and they were ok.nnGot my large coke, because of the day light, I can see it was lacking, told the manager it is so stingy, she said it's all from the machine and she can't do anything, she can give me more ice to fill it up if I want to.nI told her if it is like this, they should have their machine fixed, and she just ask me again if I want more ice to fill it up and the quantity of the drink inside is fixed.nnI was getting a bit upset with the service and food, but amount of cars was building up, so I just asked for my receipt and left.nnGot home, open the bag, and saw the chips I got, just unbelievable, it's not even half.

I wanted to compliment the young staff member who was down on the floor cleaning all the table legs tonight! Never seen such commitment to cleanliness than this young guy, teenager with dark curly hair, didn’t have a name tag. Waited at counter to see the Manager to compliment but no one available. Hope this gets passed on to this young man. Visited 5:30pm 14/9/25

This location is very good and has great potential for a well run store.nBut, It is obvious that the employees here have not received enough respect. They are working in a very bad mood. I don't know if this is the standard $3.7 portion of fries, it looks very sad.

On several occasions I have got home from the Wairau McDonald’s and been disappointed. Chips missing on two occasions and today now gettingnHome I discover there is no chocolate or Caramel sauce on the cookie time McFlurry. Disappointing they can’t get the simple things correct.
