What a great way to experience seafood! If you’re looking for a place to enjoy seafood and don’t mind getting a little hands-on, this is absolutely the spot. IMO it is worth making a booking, especially if you have a larger group.nnThe staff are incredibly welcoming and cheerful, and the service is impressively quick. Bookings are recommended, especially for larger groups. Once you’re seated, the staff are straight onto it and bring everything you need, including bibs, gloves, bowls, and lobster crackers.nnWe ordered the bundle bag $65 and a half dozen oysters $16. All the seafood was very fresh, and the oysters were especially smooth. Some of the shellfish can be a bit tricky to eat with gloves on, but that’s all part of the experience and, honestly, part of the fun!nnThe sauce the seafood comes in is delicious. It has a nice creaminess and isn’t too salty, which pairs really well with the seafood. Overall, we were very happy with the experience and will definitely be back to try some of the other options and add-ons. Keep it up!

Amazing service and absolutely delicious food at Manaia Seafood Boil! From the moment we arrived, the team was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We had requested a table away from the crowd due to our autistic son, and they kindly accommodated our request without hesitation, which meant so much to us.nnThe seafood was fresh, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly — every bite was so satisfying. You can really tell they put love and care into both their food and their service. Highly recommend Manaia Seafood Boil to anyone looking for great seafood and an awesome dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Very popular place, limited reservations available, we went there around 4:30pm but totally worth it.nnWe ordered the Lobster Madness. Excellent quality, delicious flavor, and very generous portions. Two adults and one child were full and still had leftovers.nnHighly recommend!

Most people in Auckland have probably heard of this place already!nnIt can be pretty expensive if you’re going with a small group, so definitely better value with a bigger group.nnEating with your hands gets messy but that’s part of the fun and makes it entertaining.nnDefinitely an experience worth trying at least once~

I went to Manaia last week and had a really disappointing experience. I was genuinely excited to try it after seeing this viral seafood boil restaurant, but I left with disappointment and food poisoning.nnThe atmosphere was pretty average overall. There were a lot of flies throughout the restaurant, and when we were taken to our table it was dirty, with sauce splatters and used tissues still left on it and we were immediately swarmed by flies. It was moderately busy at the time, so I don’t think it was entirely the server’s fault, but it wasn’t a great first impression and honestly we probably should’ve left then.nnThe food itself was mediocre for the price and it was under seasoned. We ordered the medium bag, and the quality of the seafood was disappointing. The crab meat had a very grainy texture and completely crumbled apart, it just didn’t hold its shape at all. Even the corn wasn’t saved by the “sauce” as it tasted like it was rolled in soap. On top of that, I’m almost certain I got food poisoning from a bad mussel, as I felt awful and had to rush to the bathroom not long after leaving. I could not stop vomiting until 1am in the morning. This is a health violation!!! Would not recommend!!!
