My food I have ordered tonight was disgusting x12 Salt n Pepper Squid and large fries First of all separate orders. I open the box, I get Soggy fries because you have 12 oily Squid all over the large fries in which you can tell by the takeaway box they did not drain the oil properly at all. Very disappointed because I buy from manukau all the time and I never have this problem they don't open late and so Botany was nearest Ljs because I love their food. TI RAKAU LJS so unimpressed with tonight's experience. We all tasted the Squid and we all agreed they were so tough and chewy. The young girl who served me was lovely too bad the food doesn't match the service. Won't be coming back here again $47 gets you x12 rubbery Squid,Lge Soggy chips, x6 yuck mussels,x3 rubbery prawns. NOT FRESH AT ALL NOT EVEN THE CHIPS

This is now my favorite seafood spot. Everything was cooked perfectly. It is rare to find a fast food restaurant where they take time to tend to every customers need, whether it's a difference in spice, salt etc. The staff are lovely, friendly and very welcoming. If you're ever in Botany I highly recommend you pop into this store. You won't be disappointed.

Awesome seafood for dinner, you get how much you ordered and it's worth it! Great taste with special sauce and spice. I love that tender squid and juicy prawns with good reasonable sized mussels and fish from seafood platter. Fantastic venue for dinner and takeaways.

I wonder what happened to this place, they used to be my favorite ljs restaurant....now they are extremely disappointing in every aspect So overpriced, ordered 1x burger and 2x hoki with chips. Came to $24.80, doesn't come with any sauces had to pay an extra $4! For the sauces, no lemon at all, the fish in the burger was so small it only filled half the burger..... seriously everything was so underwhelming and pathetic honestly....the quality has dropped insanely what is going on. Do you guys realize your customers don't want to pay $30 for pathetically put together food which doesn't even come with the complimentary condiments. The food is half a**ed, the Asian girl who is always taking orders ALWAYS seems like she hates her job, is never friendly, never smiles, whispers when she speaks as if she doesn't want to have the interaction. I won't be coming back and I strongly recommend people to go to other establishments...this place has lost all interest in providing quality food, good customer service, or even a clean space to eat tables are always dirty, sticky, and leftover food just sits on tables for ages as no one bothers to clean up. So yeah, won't be coming back, recommend others to save their precious money and find value elsewhere.

Cutlery was dirty as you could see few fingerprints on plates that were given....we didnt end up using them and ate from the platter we ordered. Tables were not wiped down. Missing the lemons!!!

Went there yesterday. The food was amazing. I was suggested to try platter and im glad i went with that option. It was yummymilkshake was great too. Quick and Great customer service. I will recommend this place to my friends too.

If there was a below one rating, I would use it. The fish was gone off. It is disgraceful that a good restaurant has served this stinky fish to it's customers. Threw it in the bin.

Check your fish before you take a bite, ordered 2 piecesnof fish, both of them had a big piece of bone, the mussels are small, salt pepper squid is nice and soft... Shouldn't it be crunch?

So disappointing. Was craving some LJs fresh fries with extra seasoning and the sour cream to dip in. First of all I ordered the Squid rings separate from the chips and they put the chips ans squid rings together in which I was left with Soggy oily chips from all the oil draining from the Salt n Pepper Squid that was placed all over the chips. I didn't know they place it together n the same box,because I ordered it separately and the chips were for my baby that doesn't like seafood. So did not enjoy it at all.. Spent $47 for 3 prawns, x6 Mussels and x12 Squid and chips and everything was tough and not even hot. Girl who served me was lovely but food is def a downer. I love ljs manukau but they don't open late. So had to go to botany def won't be going back here. So disappointing seeming this is our local

One of the best places to get seafood!!! The platter was to die for ! Reminded me of Jimbaran seafood in Bali. Definitely will be back with my entire family
