We visited SAIL Fine Dining for a birthday lunch on Saturday booked ahead and had a lovely experience. The sunny day made the view even more special, and the service was excellent — attentive and well-paced.nnWe chose the Autumn degustation menu and were impressed by several dishes, many exceeding expectations. The lamb and snapper mains were slightly under-seasoned, which stood out compared to the rest.nnThe elderflower syrup and gin cocktail was a highlight. We’d happily return for another special occasion.
Sails is a beautiful spot if you’re looking for an upscale dining experience by the water. The views of the marina create a really elegant atmosphere, and the space itself feels refined and polished. The seafood was well prepared and clearly high quality. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the setting and overall experience make it feel like a special occasion type of place. If you’re looking for a posh waterfront restaurant with great seafood and a lovely ambiance, Sails is worth visiting.
Came here with a large group and the staff were all so friendly and nice.nWe pretty much ordered all of the mains to share and a few entrees and the food was all so good. Oysters were fresh, the steak and crayfish were cooked to perfection. The bread was not that great, but the winner was the mushroom rissoto. Blew our expectations and was a standout dish. Loved how the staff even got us a special place to put my flowers. So glad I chose to have my birthday here, thanks so much!
We had the 6 courses menu which was delightful!! 10/10 the atmosphere was very calm and enjoyable and the service : magnificent. Our waiter was very delicate and friendly! Highly recommend
I have eaten there twice in the last week and I’m so glad I found this place. We shared the Camaro first time and there was plenty for 3 of us. Main I had Lamb it was amazing cooked just like I like it medium rare. The views over the marina are gorgeous. If I ever come back to Auckland it’ll be the first place I go to I recommend it to anyone. I had my birthday there and they gave me it was so delicious
