Mairangi Bay Fisheries

Was craving for some fish and chips, googled and came to this place due to the good reviews. Experience was disappointing. Firstly, was put off by the mediocre and unhelpful service rendered. Price is not as cheap as other reviews suggested. Lastly, taste wise, definitely not the best fish and chips we had throughout our trip in NZ. Will not come back again.

They have great fish and chips. Definitely my go to fish and chip place. The prices are cheap and the food is tasty. Yes it's a bit greasy but what do you expect from a fish and chip shop?Food: 5/5

Probably the best Fish and Chip place within a 50km radius of where we live. We make the 10min drive there to get our takeaways because its just that much better than our local places. Theyre often busy which is a good sign but can pay to phone your order in advance to avoid waiting around.Food: 5/5

Great local Chippy. Nothings is super greasy. They do crumbled fish if you don't want battered.Food: 5/5

Delicious fresh fish and chips. Never disappointed

Ordered 1 Tarakihi, 1 Trevally, and one half scoop chips. Fish was fresh, moist, and soft. Batter coating was crispy. Preferred Tarakihi over Trevally. Chips were crispy too.Food: 4/5

We love the snapper and chips! Always delicious and the portion sizes are very generous.
