We were visiting from Queensland, Australia and decided to have dinner at The Lone Star in Invercargill. Wow - one of the best meal I’ve had in New Zealand. Definitely the best garlic bread ever. Large loaf with plenty of buttery garlic. The fish and chips was delicious and very filling. Yummy salad too. Libby, our waitress was such a joy and extremely helpful when I asked about the fish. Highly recommended.
Our Whānau of 6 had a wonderful meal. Ordered online and everything was ready to devour on our arrival, cooked to perfection.nnThe Cadillac platter had a great variety and our daughters loved their dishes.nGenerous portions and the JD dessert was delicious!nnThank you Lone Star Team for making it extra special putting a candle on Hubby's dessert for his birthday.nnIt was all executed better than I requested and your service from start to finish was warming, welcoming and professional.nnSee you all for our next birthday celebration
Stopped in with a large group of riders and were really impressed. The staff handled the crowd like pros — quick service, smiles all round, and the meals were spot on. My steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were fresh and tasty. Great vibe, great value, great food!nefficient, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food was absolutely delicious. You can tell the staff really care — Invercargill should be proud
First time in 12 years I have been to the Lone Star and we will be back. The chicken was moist and flavourful. My husband had prawns and stated they were the best he has had since moving to invercargill. Staff were great, friendly, service quick and all were smiling.
Had dinner, was disappointed. The food was average. Looked as if it had been slapped down on the plate. Coleslaw was dry. My expresso Martina was great. It certainly has changed from when we had visited previously. Staff were friendly. Will not rush back.
