I was taken here by my partner. My first time to this place. Cozy, relaxed, beautiful ambiance. Choice of music they play, I love it.nnFood- 5 star excellent. Chowder was superb and should try the slow roast pork belly awesome! With mashed potatoes and some carrot, green apple. That was an absolute delight to your pallet!nnService- staff were amazing! Very welcoming. Wasa served us and he looked after us, the smile and happy serving us. He was very helpful when we asked about the food and other places we could go to around the area.nnAtmosphere- brilliant! Relaxing cozy style
The place and the menu are beautiful, and the staff were very attentive. However, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. I ordered the venison dish, but the presentation wasn’t very appealing and the flavor was lacking seasoning. My partner’s steak was unfortunately overcooked, even though we asked for medium rare. On the positive side, the dessert was good! The food is quite expensive, but we felt it could have had more flavor.
The place looks closed from the main road, except for a flag stating “Open”. There are plenty of parking behind the restaurant if there is no parking space along the main road. Food is reasonable, though would opined it is more on the expensive side. The service staff are very courteous and friendly. Overall, not a bad place to dine on a Monday evening where a number of restaurants are closed.
A really great restaurant. Comfortable. I have been coming here for a lot of years. Very good menu for most choices. The Blue Cod here is top notch. Good wine list.
What a lovely place! Great service, food and ambiance. My photos of our food were terrible so haven't posted those but we had a great first evening in Invercargill. A great precursor to the Bluff Oyster Festival. Thank you.
