Known as the best place for dim sum in Auckland. There’s plenty of spots worthy of this title so this is going to be a contest. But the food definitely will not disappoint!! 5 stars from me!! The always packed and have to book in advance for dinner crowd seems to stress with me that this is THE spot to dine.
We were looking for a place for a lateish lunch and ended up here. We were in time for yum cha and didn't have to wait too long for a table. They were still doing trollies but there weren't very many options. The yum cha here is quite nice. Most of the items were really nice. I did enjoy the mango pomelo sago.nIt would be nice to try earlier to see what range of yum cha that they have.
Hands down the best yum cha and Chinese I’ve eaten in New Zealand. Residing in Australia, our standards for quality yum cha and Chinese is quite high given the number of restaurants in Oz.nnUnsure why there are reviews about poor wait time and service… I found this to be the complete opposite, as the service was some of the best I’ve received in a Chinese restaurant. The staff were attentive and the managers were incredibly welcoming Sam and Terry.nnThe food was exceptional through the assortment of dishes we had. Portions were massive and great value for money.nnHighly recommend and will definitely return when in Auckland.

I've waited till now to try it out, as there are always going to be issues with newly opened restaurants. We arrived at 11.45am for Yum Cha and did not have to wait. They did however ask us if we minded being seated on a bigger table with others. We said ok and were seated by ourselves, as no one else joined our table afterwards. The food came out at a reasonable speed, but we were seated close to the kitchen, so had first choice when food came out. They have a few special dishes that other restaurants may not have, so it's worth trying. Overall, the food tasted pretty good, but I do miss the freshly baked buns they used to have at Kings House. Price wise, we paid $9 for a large, $10 for an extra large and $11 for special dishes. A little pricey for the value you get.nnEDIT: Tried here for dinner in Jan 2023. Had to book a table as they were always full in the weekends. Ordered 6 dishes and the portions were decent size. Good flavours and was pleasantly satisfied.
