The food was alright but took a little while to arrive. Nevertheless, the atmosphere of this restaurant was great, with many lively patrons. However, their advertisements weren't very accurate when stating their deals and specials which is quite a scam. Overall, the place could have been cleaner, including the ground and area near the window sill, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Staff were really friendly despite being under pressure to serve their food. As vegetarians, there was a lack of savory options, but plenty of sweet treats. Lots of bustle.
In general, it is a good dining experience. The food was tasty but surprisingly good. The service was okay.
Decent yumcha out east. Man.. the congee.. they asked if I wanted one bowl or the big size. I didn't know the big size enough for like 10 people lol.nAnyway, food was not bad.
Chow Foo Restaurant is one of our favourite Chinese restaurants in Auckland.nnWe usually take the window seatings as we enjoy the views while having our relaxing dim sum lunch.nnWe will go there again sometime after Easter.
