eRide Waiheke: E-Bike Hire Rental

Our e-bike adventure on Waiheke was good. The bikes were in good condition. The directions we received from the bike rental person were adequate. The Google maps app was very helpful. The recommendation of Charlie Farley’s for lunch was a poor choice as the portions were small and the food was overpriced. Service was poor. The 5 Bays ride is quite challenging because of the hills on the first half of the ride and the vehicle traffic on the second half. Unless you ride regularly and are quite fit I would not recommend this ride. The You tube video does adequately represent the nature of the ride.

Excellent day cruising around Waiheke on our e-bikes. Great instruction and briefing from Will before we started out. Bikes were comfortable and intuitively easy to operate. The “Five Bays” tour is great - the side ride up to Batch Winery was challenging but worth the effort for a great lunch stop. A great way to see the amazing scenery of the island while burning some calories.

Incredibly easy to get set up on the e-bikes and go enjoy Waiheke. They are the first thing you see when you get off the ferry, super efficient getting you signed up. So helpful to make sure we were as comfortable as possible for our ride; giving us panniers for our bags and phone holders. Gave a quick demo and a test drive and we were off! Also said if we had any issues while biking they would come meet us with a new bike. I enjoyed renting from eRide so much - I was sad the day had to end!

Definitely recommend! Conveniently located in the arrival terminal, you get given a map and suggestions where to spend more time than others, which was very helpful. Top quality e-bikes, so much fun and easy on all the uphills. Did see other bike rental places but you'd have to walk and find them first. The man was so laid back, friendly and helpful I'm so glad we chose this place. Good price for $99 per person can have them from 9am-5.30pm if you're super keen!

We came to waiheke looking for an adventure and Will our sales man SOLD. Oh my goodness the experience those bikes gave was quite literally amazing I’ve never had so much fun. Our lovely journey started with Will explaining everything we needed to know perfectly and giving us a map with suggested spots and ideas from him to make our journey better. Honestly fantastic. One thing I will say as a warning, give yourself at least 6 or 7 hours to do everything, the end rush to get the bikes back on time killed my legs. 5/5
