RAW FISH ON TOAST - Must have dish here!nnThe most unique dish at a cafe that I have ever had and wow it was amazing. The fish was fresh, complimented well with capers and tangy lemon flavour. Topped onto a deliciously toasted sour dough bread. YUM!nnIt was very busy on a weekend and barely managed to get a table, which is a good sign!nnAtmosphere was a cosy environment, nestled in a beautiful neighbourhood of well maintained villas.nnWill be back again!
I live around the neighbourhood and do love their brunch and coffee. Came in today and ordered the Cloudy Bay Mafaldine. Unfortunately, I had to send it back as the pasta was undercooked I could still taste the raw flour. That said, the sauce was actually good.nWhen the dish came back out, the pasta was cooked, but this time it was completely drenched, more like soup than sauce. The way the bowl was dropped on the table I'm guessing she is the manager, based on the attitude didn’t feel great either. Finished the pasta, purely because I was hungry, not that I enjoyed it.nOn the bright side, the barista was lovely, she kindly returned the dish for me and checked in to make sure everything was okay. I’ve worked in hospo myself, so I really try to be understanding, but honestly, the whole experience was disappointing today.nGiving two stars for service purely because of the barista’s great service.
I ordered the raw fish with toast at this restaurant. It was topped with capers, and the first bite was full of rich flavors, and the fish was very fresh. However, the strong flavors of the toppings somewhat overpowered the natural taste of the fish. Overall, it was a pleasant dish. Next time, I’d like to try the beef one—it should be even better.
I’ve been here for brunch and I highly recommend coming here. The food here doesn’t just sound good on paper, it’s beautifully balanced in flavour and truly delivers. Everything was delicious and I left feeling, full, happy and excited to come back for brunch but also to try their dinner menu.nnStaff were also friendly and the atmosphere is nice!
We went to duo for dinner. It has a comfortable atmosphere, more casual than the menu suggested not a fault. We had excellent service from both waitstaff. They clearly know their stuff for both the food and wine menu. We had sourdough with umami butter, nduja eggplant, pasta, snapper, and caramel pudding. Every bite was perfect. High end food quality, with a warm attitude and generous portions. Will definitely be back!
