Copthorne Hotel & Apartments Queenstown Lakeview

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Copthorne Hotel and Apartments Queenstown Lakeview. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well looked after. Our room on a higher level was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, but the real highlight was the breathtaking lake and mountain views right from our private balcony— truly unforgettable.nnThe location is perfect: close enough to walk into town, yet peaceful and quiet for a relaxing stay. We loved how easy it was to explore Queenstown’s attractions, restaurants, and scenic spots. The onsite facilities were well maintained, and everything we needed was readily available.nnOverall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way: excellent service, beautiful views, and great value. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Queenstown.

Solid hotel about a 10-15 minute walk from the commercial area and the lake. It does involve a hill, but the bus also runs along the main road if you'd rather do that. There's also free parking; the garage is a bit cramped and can fill up if you arrive late.nnThe beds were a good balance between soft and firm and the heater kept the room at a good temperature. We put the kettle to use and enjoyed having a couple different varieties of tea to pick from. The shower was finicky and getting it to the right temp required some finesse, but overall everything was clean and comfy.nnThe patio is probably nice in warmer seasons. It's a bit far from the lake for a decent view, but seeing the Remarkables off to the side isn't bad.

Perfectly located property, with good parking space and rooms were also big enough for us.nnThings we liked:nnSpacious roomsnnImmediate Staff assistance in terms of few things in our washroomnnStaff helping us warm our food since we are purely vegetariansnnThings we didn't like:nOur room was at first floor, balcony was not much clean, it needed jet sprayingnnThe space below flush tank of toilet is very dirty and can make you feel nauseous if suddenly you look at that while in bathtub, requested that to be cleaned even in writing but didn't happen during our stay of 3 days, upon checking with them on counter, one staff was asking the other staff if they received anything in writing, clearly shows lack of coordination between reception staffnnNot providing complimentary water in room, not even in glass bottlesnnNo microwave in roomnnThe wash basin sink in washroom was not clearing quickly as if it is cloggednnHeavy smell of bleach or drain cleaner after housekeeping cleans the roomnnWe felt the staff at reception area was not smiling or greeting while speaking to us

Great location, and our room on the third floor had amazing views. It's a short walk into town and the waterfront. This makes for an amazing vacation. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Overall, this was a good place to stay. We had a really nice and beautiful view of the lake. It's also within walking distance to the city centre. The room we had was spacious and the bed was comfy enough. The breakfast was a huge let down though. For $25pp, we were offered a very basic buffet breakfast and it definitely wasn't worth that much but it's a great option if you need a quick bite to eat before a big day especially if you're going on a tour. I would recommend staying here and would stay here if I visit Queenstown again.
