A Hidden Gem with Timeless CharmnnThis restaurant is an absolute delight—a beautiful, modern space with a fascinating touch of history seamlessly woven into its design. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and inviting. The live music adds a magical, relaxing element that enhances the ambiance perfectly.nnAnd the food? Every bite was sheer perfection. Thoughtfully crafted dishes, bursting with flavor and presented with artistic elegance. Whether you’re indulging in something hearty or savoring a delicate, fresh creation, the attention to detail in every dish is unmistakable.nnThe service is nothing short of impeccable—attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making your experience unforgettable. It's the kind of place that lingers in your memory long after you’ve left. Can’t wait to return!
Tonight at CBK absolutely blew our socks off!! nYou know those nights where you’re not expecting much and then they turn out to be amazing? Yep… tonight was one of those.nnFrom the moment I called to book, I was greeted with such genuine warmth and friendliness .. it instantly set the tone for what turned out to be a gorgeous night.nnWhen we arrived, we were welcomed by the loveliest smiley person wish I got his name! who made us feel so special straight away. He was also the person on the phone - Preet?nnTHEN… we realised the beautiful live music playing was by Lee Martin who we know! Total surprise and just added to the magic.nnThroughout the whole night we felt looked after, drinks flowing, food arriving in perfect timing, and zero feeling of being forgotten which sadly happens too often these days!.nnThe oysters, seafood, and stone grill? Absolutely to die for. Every bite was perfection.nnAnd just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the lovely owner Dan came over to say hello and check in, such a kind, genuine human.nnCBK Ferrymead ..thank you for such an unexpectedly amazing night. You’ve won us over completely! Will 100% be back.
Went here for lunch, wasn’t that busy in the restaurant the whole inside area was empty. Was ignored by the bar staff as soon as we walked in. A lovely waitress then walked past and saw us standing waiting awkwardly and said to take a seat anywhere.nGot a drink which arrived quickly and ordered some mushrooms on toasts and fish tacos, which took over 45 minutes to arrive after our drinks. The tacos were nice but small and not worth the wait. We ended up asking how much longer it would take as it had been another 15 minutes since someone said it would be out soon. If they had indicated the kitchen was busy I would understand but the restaurant just lacked customer service and value for money/time spend waiting.
Great service, extremely welcoming. I'll start with the good: we ordered chicken pesto linguine; it was magical—great taste, extremely creamy, and perfectly cooked. Then we got fish and chips; they were perfectly cooked and tasted good. Then we got stone-grilled chicken thighs; they were perfect, with great flavor and balance. So I highly recommend the linguine and chicken thighs. Five stars!nnWe started with chicken wings; perfectly cooked, but not seasoned. My personal preference is seasoned wings, so they were the only food I wasn't 100% happy with, but this restaurant is amazing. Thank you for having us, CBK.
