We were there for dinner at about 7pm. And the place was already packed. We took the last two tables. Food was promptly served after we ordered. Chicken was fresh and tender, with crispy batter with sweet chilli and soy sauce. Together with the original, all tasted yummy. We also enjoyed the crispy veggie pancake, spicy kimchi soup and kimchi fried rice. Portion served was big for eleven of us to share. Really good and authentic Korean food, highly recommended to all who love Korean food
Went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, but we only waited around 20 minutes for a table, which wasn’t too bad.nnWhat we ordered:nnHalf Boneless Spicy Chilli Chicken with melted cheese on top – 8.5/10nGood portion size, chicken was crispy and coated really well. The spicy flavour was great, but the cheese sauce honestly wasn’t worth the hype at all — I’d even say it tasted a bit bad.nnHalf Spring Onion Chicken – 3/10nAgain, good portion size and the chicken itself was still crispy, but the flavour was really confusing. Personally, I don’t think this should even be a flavour option The sauce tasted like sour water overloaded with spring onions. Lost my appetite tbh.nnTteokbokki – 7.8/10nAt first, $35 seems expensive for tteokbokki, but the portion is massive. Taste-wise, it was okay — nothing amazing, just average.nnService:nService was good, but the food didn’t come out at the same time. We were almost done with one dish before the next arrived. It was a packed Saturday night though, so understandable.nnOverall, wouldn’t go back — personally don’t think it’s worth the hype.nnUpdate : been 2 hours and all 3 of us have a stomach ache.
The venue itself is dated and old fashioned inside; some things match but other things don’t, like the random Christmas decorations. The flooring is old and moves under your seat as people walk on it. We waited 30 mins for our food.nnOur chicken pieces were tasty; tender and juicy inside and the skin was charred and crunchy. Love the boneless option! The sauces soy, honey butter and sweet chilli were good but very sweet and salty which made us extremely thirsty. They gave us water, but not enough. The chips and wedges were well seasoned, fresh and hot and the coleslaw was nice.
7 grams offers a unique experience both in taste and atmosphere. Their fried chicken is cooked to perfection and food comes out quickly. I have never been to a restaurant quite like it as there are so many flavours to choose from. 7 grams is a one of a kind chicken experience that you have to visit if your near the area and hopefully the restaurant stays just as good in a couple years.
The fried chicken here is perfectly made, with crispy outsides and tender insides. There’s a large variety of sauces and sides which are also done perfectly. The chicken was not too oily and balanced nicely with the coleslaw, salad and pickles. Fries were crispy yet fluffy and seasoned well.nnThe only downside is the sheer popularity of this place. Be prepared to wait a very long time - we arrived at 5:30pm on a Saturday and were lucky to grab one of the last tables left. We waited 40 minutes for our food, which was delicious, yet as we were leaving, there were people who still hadn’t gotten a table and had arrived maybe ten minutes after us.nnI’d certainly say this place is worth a try but choose your time wisely.
