The Ramada resort Ballarat is a quiet, comfortable property in a picturesque location. At the resort, you have views of the countryside, while still being fairly close to the centre of Ballarat. Two small disadvantages of the location are that the hours for bus services to the City are limited on weekends and public holidays and few restaurants or cafes are nearby (although guests can arrange delivery from a range of restaurants).

The room was ok, dusty. Couch uncomfortable and dirty. If you like sleeping on concrete then the bed is for you. It was so hard we barely slept. After complaining we were told all the matress toppers were being used so we were given a thin blanket. We were booked in for two nights and only stayed one, it was that bad. As we checked out the receptionist didn't seem to care and never offered any sort of apology.

Excellent weekend getaway, immaculately clean, excellent on-site features (BBQ, kids activities, pool, paddle boating, fishing, tennis, plenty of open space to just chill) and lovely staff! As a bonus, when it gets dark, you can relive The Shining hotel experience with the richly carpeted interiors & hallways.

Great resort if you after something different. Lovs the historic buildings and evening stroll around the lake.
