The experience fell significantly short of the standards we expected. We checked in late at around 9:30 pm and immediately discovered that the fridge in our room was not working. We had perishable food items, including chicken, that needed refrigeration overnight. We contacted security, but were informed that nothing could be done at that hour.nnShortly after, we realised that none of the electrical sockets in the room were functioning. This meant we were unable to charge our phones, and we could not use devices for Netflix or any other entertainment stuff. Essential amenities such as the hair dryer, kettle, and iron were also unusable.nnIn the morning, we spoke with the reception team. The staff member was genuinely helpful and offered to store our milk in the reception fridge and offered the oven in the kids area, but unfortunately there was no electrician available onsite to resolve the issue. We were a bit disappointed and decided to just go to a nearby café for breakfast.nnOverall, the lack of basic electrical functionality caused significant inconvenience and impacted our stay in multiple ways. I raised a compliant and the hotel manager neither acknowledge it nor called me to apologise.
The convenience and experience of staying on-site of one of the premium museum parks is great. I do wish they could upgrade the rooms and amenities provided to the room.nNOTE:neven though the hotel provides a microwave which implies you may cook in the room. DO NOT DO THIS.nThe smoke alarms are EXTREMELY sensitive and merely cooking toast could trigger them. This activates a fire brigade call out which the hotel WILL insist YOU paying.nThis occurred to friends of ours that stayed with us at the facility.
Great value for the hotel that is actually inside the Sovereign Hill itself so we could walk around inside as well.nnRoom is a bit dated but it is clean and tidy so I have no complaints.nnThe staff is also friendly and there is ample parking. I had a great stay!
Great place to stay for attractions. the staff are very friendly and helpful.nOnly downfall lack cooking and kitchen facilities.nThey stay was right for us and everything we wanted do see and taste around Ballarat was near by
We stayed for 3 nights and found the room to be clean and tidy.nComplimentary tea, coffee and milk was nice to have available.nVery easy access to Sovereign Hill made it a good place to stay.nFridge constantly running was a bit of a nuisance at night.
