Excellent facilities and pricing, staff is friendly and helpful, and it is attached to the Sovereign Hill complex. There is a restaurant which is very nice and intimate, with a good menu selection that is affordable and memorable. The entire area and surrounds are well maintained by ground staff and is very picturesque. The Manager is very accommodating, and when I stayed there, I had just left "Reid's Guest House" out of sheer disgust and fear of being robbed in my sleep. They allowed me to stay for almost 3 weeks for a very decent price, they also provided free coffees in the mornings and evenings and LOTS of local information which helped me no end! I would MOST definitely recommend this if you are on a budget, or backpacking. It is also close to the town centre and local shopping areas. Extremely family friendly, clean, secure and QUIET! 5 Stars for a backpackers accommodation. The Sovereign Hill Hotel is the management of this facility and offers cabins and rooms for decent rates, there are also tourist package deals available at the front desk with daily guided tours of historical Ballarat and also The Sovereign Hill Museum and Old Town Complex, complete with working Smithiee!
