Nice and close to Sovereign Hill and a few minute drive into town.nWe were apparently given a ‘better room’ downstairs. Room well overpriced for what it is. The beds were comfy and had electric blankets but the room heater wasn’t great.nRoom and bathroom was clean enough but shower head leaked and had to be held up by tying a towel around it. Globes were out and switches pulled out completely.nWe stayed for the indoor pool but didn’t use it in the end. Spa is literally boarded up and messy from the outside window.nWould however stay again if the price was right, now knowing what I was getting.nCouple of pics of the state if the windows and lights. All else was clean and tidy.
We contacted this hotel directly as it is defined as being a Comfort Inn, a trusted brand. However, we have since learnt through trying to obtain a refund that this is in fact not the case and they're an independent motel.nUpon arrival we were given a tour of a room #26 and the pool which were both sub standard and filthy.nWe advised the receptionist, via phone because no one was on site, that after returning from shopping to be hit by marijuana smoke, we wanted a refund for 6 of the 7 nights we had booked, that given it was after 6pm, we would wear 1 nights accommodation. Receptionist refused, saying it was a non refundable booking, no cancellation policy was ever provided to us. He also stated that because he had given a $2 per night discount that he would not refund any money.nThe second report to the police is about to be sent for deceptive conduct - portraying the motel as something it is not.nThe fight for a refund has begun!
I booked a room here for over a month in advance only 2 days before I tried to cancel due to a daughter being in a coma in hospital where I have to be by her side back in a different state. I was told I had to go to wotif as they were the agent I booked with then told by wotif the hotel had been paid by them so rang the hotel back to absol no help zero going on about a different agent.nnBe aware on this hotel there are no bed side manners at all and the receptionist had no intention of helping in any way what so ever - despicable
Great location, a minute from sovereign hill and couple of minutes from the central town.nnRoom was fine for a motel, but there was no where to hang up the towels to dry and they didn't make up the room at all during the stay so had to use damp towels.nHeater was mounted in the hallway/bathroom and didn't really reach the bed at all. Double doona also wasn't in a cover, just sheets which kept falling off and was too small for 2 people.nnPool was warm enough, 28 degrees, its not a spa heated pool but its better than a lot of other motel pools.
Simple affordable clean rooms. It’s a motel but the two young owners are trying their best and accommodated all my needs.
