Best Woolies I visit. Well stocked, clean and tidy, friendly staff, low prices and good specials. Wish I lived closer. Always visit after I go to the South Melbourne Markets.

My favourite supermarket "Woolies" in South Melbourne has managed the supermarket trifecta: great packers, fresh produce and easy parking! Its my regular supermarket. I shop on Saturday mornings when it's not too busy. Large supermarket with huge range of produce. Being opposite the South Melbourne Market may be the competitive driver for its fruit and vegetable section to be so impressive! Have to give a call out to the guys at the "gourmet butcher" section who are very helpful with those tricky cuts of meat you don't find prepacked on the shelf. Carpark is well organised with two hour free parking. It uses licence plate ID so there's no need to get a ticket at the automatic boomgate.. why doesn't every carpark pick up this time saving technology?? There is a BWS (Liquor store) outlet adjacent to the supermarket. Within the building that houses Woolies, there is a Spotlight store, pharmacy, cafes, fitness / nutrition outlet. Travellators and large lifts serve the building so there is easy access for those with mobility issues (or tired kids and full trolleys!!). Being opposite the market means you can go across to get those "market-only" good and be back within your 2 hour free parking limit :)

Always very tidy and clean. Selection could be a bit better but very good in general and especially compared to the surrounding grocery stores
