I am here with my friend, he is shopping some cheap food for his lunch. Have you ever dreamed of travelling to different places with your loved ones? Ofcourse we all do, who wouldn’t want to seek adventure? Explore new places, try out different cuisines but ofcourse it’s more worth it when you’re with your love ones, making memories worth keeping making them happy right? Ticking each one on your bucket list, be it in the forest, ocean, or wherever you plan or what to do because family is everything to us. All we ever wanted is a good future for them. As what JM Laurence once said, “It’s not what we have in life, but who we have in our life that matters.”
A good selection of items in the supermarket. I found lots of yoghurt which I hadn't had in New Zealand before so I ate a lot of it when I was in Melbourne! I also found these protein bars which are delicious.
Good selection of goods, clean, long opening hours
Considering this is one of the only Coles around the CBD, the selection of products is atrocious. It is beyond frustrating as a local to see that the stocks are constantly unavailable making it difficult to complete a shopping trip. The selection towards pet food is horrible including only a few products and the complete absence of kitten food. This location is greatly unreliable when grocery shopping. Best visit another supermarket if you want to grab everything off your shopping list because I can assure you this place will not have it all.
Most important place around Southern Cross Station. It basically feeds everyone living near the station, including West Melbourne. They have many lower price products compared to Woolworths. But unfortunately their meat price is higher and they never have half priced baked chicken sale and they don’t have wide varieties of discount products during promotion period compared to Woolworths. I just go there, because it's close. That's the only reason.
If any one bought this dated coles brand eggs pls DONT USE as it was spoil . I had bought 24th august this pack of egg and it’s got expire date till 30th September but most of eggs are sopil and rest are too old to use . My experience is ridicules.
This happened around 7:20pm August 22 2022. When I was in fruit/vegetable section I saw the short Indian security going up to the a worker stacking up stock by the fridge. While approaching the security guy used his WHOLE LEFT HAND,5 FINGERS touching the dates in the box THREE TIMES before he finally decided which one to pick! There were tongs in there! It was so gross and the other worker didn’t care either, maybe what I heard is true, they use their hands to do EVERYTHING
This is probably the only full scale Coles supermarket within Melbourne CBD. It is brighter and wider to accommodate foot traffic after it’s floor space rearrangement. It is not immune from the current supply shortage but it gives you a better chance to get your essential supplies than it’s Express stores
Every time I visit this supermarket the Indian guy managing the checkouts either calls security to stand right behind me and watch me scan, or he stands right behind me himself. He did so again tonight, and after I paid and received my long receipt, and I turned around to leave, he looked me in the eyes and then lifted a microphone that was hanging around his neck the type that comes with earphones/earbuds and said, "All good, all good." I have never stolen anything in my life. I work at a high paying job, and my purchases at Coles are always relatively high usually > $100, i.e., I am a non-stealing good customer. He must've seen me come in a thousand times already and I've never stolen a thing. So I cannot understand why I must always go through this kind of obvious harassment. I can only think that it must be some kind of discriminatory/racial profiling that he is choosing to implement.
One of the bigger Coles supermarket in the city. Neat, clean and spacious. Besides groceries, they have a selection of daily neccessities.
