I visited this store late Sunday afternoon of 9th November. I am absolutely disgusted to see that EVERY register except for express consists solely of self-serve counters. The newest few of these have the conveyor belt system, like regular registers.nnI stood at the express counter and waited almost 5 minutes to be served! 2 staff including a store manager were chatting with one another whilst I waited. They then BOTH moved to the counter that sells cigarettes to assist a customer that had only just arrived, completely ignoring me! Surely they were not both required??nnWhen I was finally served by the manager, I politely made my dissatisfaction known regarding the lack of customer service provided. I received only a blank stare, without comment. Staff particularly management are evidently unable to comment on these matters, for risk of being reprimanded for doing so, or perhaps they simply do not care. Afterall, I am sure their position is more secure than the multiple staff that have/will suffer a reduction in hours.nnI am extremely dissatisfied with the movement towards automated self-serve counters. I have frequently encountered times where I require an actual person to rectify scanning issues, or address purchases of multiple bulky items, rather than scanning them all individually. This all adds unnecessary time to my shopping experience, which is completely avoidable by having registers with actual customer service personnel.nnThis also completely disregards customers without capacity to be repeatedly lifting bulky items. I can see an injury incident is practically inevitable!! Surely a lawsuit for such an occurrence would completely void any apparent 'cost savings' made through automation and self-serve counters??nnAttempting to find my own solution, I began to consider alternatives whereby I could receive a somewhat similar customer-focused service, such as Click and Collect. However, this was short-lived because as I was attempting to leave the centre, the exit of the upper undecover carpark was grid-locked with multiple vehicles that could not access, nor exit past the Click and Collect zone.nnThe placement of the Click and Collect area requires relocation. The general public are affected, which will lead to frustration and potentially even safety concerns regarding ability to exit in the event of an incident.nnFurther, having multiple vehicles all sat with their engines idling, creating localised exhaust fumes, completely nullifies any statements previously made by Woolworths about caring for the environment. That had been their justification for the transition to reusable plastic, and then paper bags.nnI would also like to highlight my dissatisfaction with staff across ALL Woolworths stores that are gathering online orders. They are frequently extremely rude and pushy, with total disregard for customers. They zip about rapidly due to time constraints, shoving past customers. This will almost certainly cause an incident, such as knocking over an elderly or less able-bodied person!nnI have been an avid supporter of Woolworths stores for 30+ years, choosing to shop with them over Coles, Aldi, etc. because I HAD found their product quality, prices, store layouts, cleanliness and customer service to be mildly better than their competitors. However, if these matters are not rectified then I will be boycotting them and suggesting to family and friends to do the same.
Love this store! Great service from all staff including the Store Manager. Vicky is lovely and always very helpful and friendly. Best store in Logan.
Why are you selling hotcross buns already. Its still December 2025.
Absolutely nil customer service for staff assisted checkout, refuse to scan and bag my items, waiting in queue for 20 mins with 1 checkout staff open on a Saturday, staff lie about not opening another staff assist checkout . Next time I will dump my full trolley at the checkout, maybe more than 1
