I had a disappointing experience at Woolworths Polaris during my shop today. I spent around $150 and was at the store between 10:30–10:35 am, shopping with three other people and a full trolley.nnAt the self-checkout, one of the team members assisting customers was unfortunately quite unhelpful and rude. One of the products we picked up did not have a barcode, so we asked for assistance. Instead of offering a solution, the team member abruptly told us that there was “nothing he could do” and that we should just get another product with a barcode. While we understood the situation, the way it was communicated felt dismissive.nnWe then went to find the same product with a barcode but couldn’t locate any. When I went back and asked if he could please return the same napkins for us or guide us to where more might be kept, he sent us to the back wall, saying Christmas products were there. Unfortunately, there were none in that area. This made the experience more frustrating, as it seemed the team member was not aware of product locations or did not take the time to properly help.nnEventually, we approached the service desk, where another team member was more helpful. Since the product had no barcode or price ticket and we couldn’t find a replacement, we then proceeded to scan another item of the same price instead.nnDuring such a busy Christmas period, customers choose Woolworths expecting basic support and respectful service, especially when issues arise that are beyond the customer’s control. Situations like missing barcodes can happen, but how staff respond makes a big difference.nnI hope this feedback is taken constructively, as better communication, product knowledge, and a more supportive attitude would greatly improve the customer experience.
I accidentally dropped the instant coffee I bought and broke the jar, but the staff were kind enough to help me. They even replaced it with a new one. Even though it was my faultnnThank you so much!
Staff a generally nice and helpful and it is well stocked. Parking is ok. For some reason the store is really overheated.
Great Woolies store.nnROAST CHOOK is out of this world. Don’t know what / how / why - but the roast chickens are significantly better than other Woolies and Coles by a long shot. 9.5/10 that I’ve had a roast chicken they were awesome.
Saw that glasses old lady and tall guy with heavy voice that keep talking and barely helping
