I must say — what an impressively creative way to generate fines! Turning a usual 1P parking zone on Whitehorse Rd into a Bus Zone, then cleverly parking a bus right in front of the temporary sign so that it’s completely invisible to any driver turning from Station St — truly a masterpiece of planning.nnAnd to make the performance even more complete, you even had an officer waiting nearby, camera ready, to catch every confused driver who parked there because they couldn’t possibly see the hidden sign. It’s almost poetic — a flawless coordination between sign placement, obstruction, and enforcement!nnIf the goal was to ensure maximum confusion and revenue, congratulations — you’ve outdone yourselves. I can only hope this level of “efficiency” isn’t what passes for community service in Whitehorse.
I’m very disappointed with Whitehorse Council regarding my parking fine Infringement No. 36074151.nThe ticket says the offence was at 12:12 p.m., but my dashcam shows I parked at 11:14 a.m. and left shortly after—well within the 1P limit.nThey claimed to have sent a letter on 22 August 2025, but I only received it today. I’ve checked my email thoroughly and there was no previous correspondence, which caused unnecessary stress and confusion.nThe Council needs to improve their processes and ensure important communications actually reach residents.
Heartless council who routinely fine people for parking infringements. When I appealed, I got a generic response that didn't actually address any of my issues with the fine. They didn't even bother to send a letter that I requested and opted for an email instead. When I followed up again, they basically told me I was lucky I didn't get two fines. Literally less than 30 seconds in a taxi zone that was empty and you think that cost the council $122?nWhen reading through the responses to other reviews here, I can tell fines enforcement department really don't care and have targets to meet. Heartless and illogical.
thanks whitehorse for looking after a young p player who provide stuffiest documentation for their valid reasoning to park in a permit zone at an emergency moment. i highly appreciate your under, and i personally think people should understand what it takes to get off with these fines isn’t just a couple of documents. you want to show as much details as possible. also any support, if you do infarct receive support.
I am extremely frustrated with this council’s handling of my parking permit and fine. I applied for a parking permit in June 2024 but received a fine in July 2024 because I could not display the permit on my windshield Innever received it in the post.nnWhen I appealed the fine, I provided proof of payment for the permit, but my appeal was rejected on the grounds that the evidence was “not sufficient.”nnI have now been in Australia for 1.5 years, and I have been disputing this fine as well as another fine for the same issue for over a year. It is incredibly disappointing to be penalised for something that was not my fault and to have my legitimate proof of payment dismissed so easily.
