Very nice Teppanyaki. Hair and clothes won't be as smelly. No rice throwing or bowl flipping, everything should go into the mouth, not the floor. Good lighting, wide space. Very little interaction needed with chefs, the whole night I only said and "yes" when asked. "Big fire?" and "médium please". Tasty food.
Absolutely fantastic meal. Great chef and great dining experience. Overall night was significantly tarnished when my sister was asked to dig through her purse to produce the receipt to prove we had paid as we were about to leave.
We had the melted snow degustation menu with Master Kobe AA9+ upgrade. Overall enjoyed the menu. The crab salad wrapped in kingfish, and the twice cooked Parmesan scallop were nice. But was quite disappointed in the wagyu. AA9+ is supposed to be equivalent to Japanese A5. I’ve had the Kobe beef from Kobe and the AA9 was no where near the level of marbling and richness in flavour in comparison. Not sure if this is due to Australia’s dodgy wagyu ratings or something else. Asked the chef for confirmation just in case there was a mix up. Staff were attentive. Overall positive experience.
Had 9 course dinner at this restaurant. Chef cooking in front of you, very good show. Food is great. Nice atmosphere.
Best show , lot of fun , nice food and ambience , we order 39 .90$ per person which is really worth it . all staff have good attitude .
A bit of hot in front of the stove, otherwise it is still one of the best restaurants in Sydney CBD
The location and layout is good, with the food being great and the cooking process was quite entertaining along along with great service. It is a little pricey though.
We went to this restaurant on my mother's birthday and had a good time. The view was great and getting to watch your food being made before your eyes is a good show. However, although the staff aren't rude, they sometimes have a hard time understanding you and also seem quite indifferent to your needs. The food also takes a while to prepare so there are long gaps between each serving being made. The taste is also the same, not bad but not delicious. Honestly, compared to the price, the taste and quality of the food is mediocre. However, if you are looking for a place to go with a classy atmosphere and a good food, it isn't a bad place to go.
Very very disappointing. The service was incredibly slow, especially as we had two children 8 and 5 with us. We booked for 7.30 and the chef never started cooking until 9.15. Also we thought the chef's would have put on a bit of theatrical show while cooking, but they did not interact with us or the kids one bit. No children's menu either, so was a very expensive meal.
We loved our Wharf Teppanyaki experience last night. We booked a late sitting, so it was not too crowded and we enjoyed a bit of seclusion which was nice as I can imagine it would otherwise be busy and noisy. The wait staff and chef were exceptionally good and very attentive. I had made a few special requests when booking and these were all cheerfully accommodated. The food was excellent and obviously of good quality. All in all a very happy experience.
