Went for the winter igloo experience on Friday evening. We absolutely loved it. The staff was very friendly & served us very well. The food was well presented, cooked & was of good portion. We didn’t try dessert there as we were already full from the meals. The igloo itself was very cozy and comfortable with portable heater in there. Beautiful view & loved the decor. Thank you for a great experience
A friend booked the igloos for us in August Melbourne winter. We had a beautiful sunny Winter’s day and kept warm in the igloo by a little heater and plenty of blankets. We paid $59 each and that included two drinks and antipasto platters. We were not expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised we got plenty of food and the espresso Martini was delicious! I didn’t take photos of our starters which included dips, baked Brie with caramelized figs on top, pita bread, huge pretzels and bread. Would definitely recommend it and go again!
The food was delicious, our first time trying the cheeseburger spring, i have to say they were the best. great friendly staff and clean restaurant with an amazing view. Toilets were clean and the entrance to the toilets looks well decorated.
Great location with stunning views of the Yarra and South Bank. Staff was very nice and service was quick. They have daily specials, at reasonable prices. Scored a Parmigiana with wine at $20! Food was prepared fresh to order and delicious with a good portion size. Highly recommend eating and drinking here! I’ll be back.
We went to The Wharf Hotel for their igloo dinner experience. It was a fun, intimate dinner where you shared snack/food platters and drinks with friends in a cosy although freezing cold! plastic igloo. It was beautifully decorated inside the igloo with fairy lights and modern decor, and the food platters that we ordered were surprisingly above expectations; pork belly was tender, chicken ribs were crispy, calamari was fresh. Service was friendly, although once you were inside the igloo it was so hard to get staff’s attention. Overall, very happy with our dinner experience.
We booked in a table for 7, to celebrate a special occasion and we were all excited, to celebrate with such a good view. We ordered drinks and food and to our surprise we found WORM in our salad which was ordered along with eggplant parma. We were so disgusted at the site of worm in our food and unfortunately few of our friends already had a few bite of salad.Cannot describe what we felt afterwards. We didn’t want to create a chaos, so we requested the staff to call the duty manager at our table. Manager came to our table, to address the situation. We explained him the whole situation and asked him if this happened any time or how this can be avoided in future. The reply we get, it is expected in this industry and the worm was found from lettuce, which might have not been washed. We do know, sometime things like this do happen, but what surprised us more was how at no stage the manager was unapologetic. Even though we were offered refund for the food served on the table, but this does not justify what happened to us, how it can be avoided in future and how we felt. The site of food disgusted us and we left from there. Despite of the location and lovely staff, we have to leave such a feedback due to the behaviour of the duty manager.
Came here as part of a team event and the experience we've had wasn't the best. Food looked great but most dishes were too dry and bland including their pumpkin pizza, parma, linguine and southern fried chicken tenders. The batter on the fish and chips were hard and the Southern Fried Chicken Tenders were not what I expected it to be see photo attached and the flavor was just weird. We ordered quite a few starters, only 2 was served before the mains. We waited quite a bit for our food and there weren't even many others around we're there at 5:30pm. The rest of the starters came after they started serving the mains. Not sure what happened but I do hope they'll get better as their riverside location is great.
Came here for the Winter Wonderland experience on a Saturday afternoon. It was fifty something dollars a head and comes with 2 drinks per person and a decent amount of the food. The lowlight was definitely the fish, it was tiny as and would rather substitute for something else if they were going to serve such a tiny dish. The felafels were also pretty dry, wouldn’t eat that again. Everything else was so yummy though, especially the baked Brie. Overall, it was a fun experience, although I wouldn’t do it multiple times.
We went twice to The Wharf Hotel for their igloo dinner experience as well just for dinner. Great location with stunning views of the Yarra and South Bank We absolutely loved it. The staff was very friendly & served us very well. It was beautifully decorated inside the igloo with fairy lights and modern decor as well there is good sitting with portable heater and blankets.
The delicious food and nice warm hot toddy and hot chocolate experience was completely ruined by the service we received. Despite vacant igloos being available by the riverside, we were informed that those igloos weren't available unless the time is cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes. None of this was mentioned at the time of booking. So honestly we felt scammed. Due to the reduced time the waiter decided unilaterally that he was going to serve starters and mains all at the same time. Despite the food and views being lovely, the experience was poor. We were reminded twice of the reduced time once during the start and later towards the end so it was like we were being shooed out. We left earlier than the 90 minutes simply because of the poor experience feeling totally ripped off.
