Arrived there a rainy day and the tentsite turned into a little lake. There was one cabin free but only for 80$ a night, minimum stay two nights. We couldn't pitch up the tent and didn't wanted to pay 160$ for a night, so we ended up sleeping in our car. Luckily the campsite has hot showers (6 min 1$) and a well equipped kitchen with seating possibilities, so we spend a wonderful afternoon / evening with very nice people there.

So earlier these holidays I went down with a few friends wanting to stay a couple of nights. When we arrived the owner all made us sign saying we would obey the rules and look after the campground etc which was fair. Later that night at 9:45 we were sitting around in a tent talking, and one of the people in a site next to ours called out telling us to be quiet so we did. 30 seconds later the manager ran out shouting at me telling me to get over to him. As I was walking over to him he abused me and my friends calling me a "boy", and when I said "sir, don't call me boy" he said "I'll call you whatever you want, you're on my land. He was also calling one of the girls with us a "so called women". I hadn't said anything but he also said "And if you give me any lip boy, I'll crack you". He then forced me into his little motor home where him and his wife told us if we didn't quieten down we would be kicked out. Keep in mind this is all before 10pm, and the noise curfew was 10:30pm. After that we all felt quite down buzz so we went to bed and in the morning we went to the office telling them that we wanted a refund for how mistreated we were, and all they did was to try find an excuse for their behaviour. I go camping a lot and this is by far the worst campground management I've ever had to deal with. I wouldn't stay here again.

Nice place. Full equipped kitchen, pay shower. I just spend a night there. Really close from New Chums Beach. If you get there go to lunch at Luke's kitchen at Kuatunu.

Loved the stay! Sue is a gem! The facilities were comfortable and very clean!

Have not been camping for a long time and was extremely pleasantly surprised at the clean fresh and very well equipped kitchen with two gas BBQs and the toilet/shower area was also extremely clean and very pleasant to use. Will definitely be back.
