1st of all, change the name because none of them are cottages!! They are cabins. Standard basic cabins. A little bit nicer than a DOC cabin. Yep, warmer and drier. The cabins come with a all but go 1 speed fridge and all bit one speed element overnight thing that's so old that spiders would be cooked. The bunks are for children, the mattresses are old school 80's heavy Kaypock. Best to take own matresses to sleep on. 1 womans show and toilet in one. Mens toilet and one shower. Just have communal signs on the doors. The so called "cottages" are just fancier cabins that look like posh dock huts. Leaking taps tho and again, the freezer overpowers the whole fridge and food left spoiled. This place needs a huge fix up to go with that sign at the driveway entrance. Spend some good money and do up that place! Tent area and communal play area was very good. Just gotta see what's important, everyone safe or just some of us.
The views are amazing from the top cottages it's nice and queit like relax mode queit which is handy when trying to escape the crazy city lifee, the managers are very lovely to deal with. Rooms literally have everything needed to make it a homely stay and it's always nice and clean on arrival . We always return as much as we can and haven't once had a bad stay love staying here prefer the cottage over cabin but not fussy on either. Keep forgetting to thank you guys everytime for our stay and making us feel welcome and at home much appreciated see you guys again very soon
Amazing place and great get away from any noise cabins laid out well with everthing you nees even double pillows amazing veiw and great staff there i will be returning no doubtRooms: 5/5
My family and I had a wonderful stay during Christmas 2021. Our hosts Semi, Kelera, and family are beautiful people who made us feel very welcome and are always available to assist with any queries. The grounds are lovely to walk around, picturesque and peaceful. We will definitely rebook again for winter/summer. One of our best family holidays here! Thank you so much for everything that you do!!
The staff at Te Kouma Harbour cottages were very accommodating. The cottages themselves were very basic but homely and had everything that was needed for a great stay away. There is no wifi available unless you're near the office and signal to cellphones is also limited in areas but unless this is totally necessary it shouldn't be a problem. There are a lot of bugs around so remember to pack insect repellent, you are in their territory though so expect a few creepy crawlies. There are a lot of heaters in the cottages but not one single fan we took our own though so if you want comforts of home, take them with you. I need to reiterate how well the staff treated my family and I, I will certainly try to return as often as possible.
Loved it, will go back here absolutely!Rooms: 5/5
Nice setting, great facilities, and Rose is a very welcoming Hostess. We only used the cabins and the fish cleaning facility but the rest of the Area is well looked after and i am sure they would be to the same standard. We will be back.
Beautiful place. The driveway was a bit tight in places especially if towing a boat. The cabin accommodation was very small but okay for the night. Need more shared toilets and showers
Great place to bunk down. Close to Te Kouma wharf if you going fishing. Great for our group of 36. Have all types of cottages, cabins, backpackers accommodation. Reasonable rates. Does have eftpis. Big spaces & walks for kids. Unfortunately no pets allowed as owners have a cute lil shitzsu bichon fluffy boy. Swimming pool also great.
Nice place to stay. Friendly management. Kids love the free kayaking... Recommended
