We weren't comfortable with the original room we booked 2 bedroom cottage it was very cramped and no couch, and us bigger folk couldn't fit through the wee wall opening to get in the shower. It was a strange set up and with the pool pump attached to the cottage just outside the bedroom window we were certain we probably wouldn't sleep well. Thankfully they had the 2 bedroom 'goldrush' apartment was available and we paid slightly more and moved to this room, whilst this unit was mainly epic, and had everything you needed including in room laundry which travelling with kids was super awesome, full kitchen with dishwasher, large tv, large lounge area, deck with outdoor dining settee and was really close to the pool, it unfortunately honked. The smell was quite offensive, a clash of musty/damp and old cooked fish. We couldn't figure out what it was, we aired the unit, sprayed an odour spray etc in hope it would dissipate but sadly it wouldn't lift. my sniffer really struggled and after some time I discovered the rear of the curtains were covered in black smelly mould and this was the cause of the odour in the room. There was also a number of cockroaches we killed in our room too. This needs attention. If it wasn't for that, the room itself would have had 5 stars! We had great service over all, kids loved the pool and waterslide although i felt that wasn't all together that clean and for a heated pool could have been a couple of degree's warmer and the peddle cars and the jumping pillow were a highlight. For what felt like a relaxed holiday park, The rules on the playground were quite strict for e.g the sign said no playing after 5pm, which is usually when we would want to send the kids out to run off the last of their energy after dinner. Other guests were respectful and it was a quiet space to relax. The complex was handy to the township and over all we enjoyed our stay. The kids thought it was awesome we had a bathroom off our bedroom and they had a bathroom off theirs.
Great place with spacious rooms, but unfortunately the customer service was very poor. From the first night of our stay, the manager was rude and unprofessional towards our group.nnOur group felt uncomfortable and singled out due to the manager’s aggressive behaviour throughout our stay. The situation escalated when the manager forcefully shut a door on one of our group members, which was very upsetting and completely unacceptable.nnWhile the rooms and facilities were good, the way we were treated by management left a very negative impression and overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable stay.
We only stayed one night - in a motorhome - but we lacked for nothing. A thoroughly well organised site with great facilities. Book with confidence.
My little family came to celebrate our daughter’s 2nd birthday in Coromandel. We wanted accommodation that was toddler-friendly, easy access to main town attractions but mainly a space of relaxation and comfort. Tasman Holiday Parks - Coromandel truly hit the brief for us! We stayed in a Standard Family Cabin Room 13 with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. This was a first for us and woah! We loved it. The room was tidy and well kept, the shared facilities were also well cleaned and we enjoyed meeting other families and people this way.nnThe playground, giant blob and basketball areas were a hit for our little toddler but just walking through the site was fun. We also got some time in the pool which our girl loved.nnWe were close to areas we wanted to visit, the staff were super helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived even left gifts for our girl in the room on arrival which was just so kind and made us feel at home.nnI didn’t think I’d do well with shared spaces but everyone within our proximity of staying were lovely, respectful and kind. True kiwi living experience which worked hand in hand with the Tasman Holiday Parks - Coromandel homely and welcoming atmosphere. You guys truly have a gem up your sleeves!nnThank you guys so much for an incredible stay. This will not be the last time we book in & can’t wait to come back again soon. p.s sorry for any stray balloons we left behind.
Friendly, accommodating and informative staff from the moment you walk into Reception.nHighly recommend the Gold Rush unit. Set up perfectly for two sets of couples or grandparents holidaying with a young family.n2 seperate bedrooms with ensuites, spotless spacious unit with indoor outdoor flow and a view of the very inviting pool.nLoads of things for young and old to do, both within the park and surrounding areas. Just ask the fabulous staff....they will point you in the right direction.nWish we had the time to stay an extra night.
