I definitely recommend staying here because, There are various places to stay for every budget and there is a grass area where you can watch the beautiful sunset. This is also a suitable and clean camping area for campers. You can find all kinds of kitchen utensils you are looking for in the shared kitchen and it is clean! The common toilet and kitchen are cleaned every morning. You can also stay in the units, which are clean and tidy with their own bathroom and kitchen. The thing that will make you happiest is that the motel owners are very helpful and friendly. They will definitely chat with you and answer any questions you have. If I come again, I'm sure I'll choose this place.nBy the way, It is also 3 minutes away from the town on foot.
A gem of a campsite. Excellent modern facilities, clean and well managed grounds, with a communal kitchen and living room for the campers. Grassy pitches were ideal for those of us that tent camp. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights, but were tempted to stay longer, particularly as the pub down the road Star and Garter Hotel was good too!
Unit was wheelchair accessible with ramp, with roomy wheel-in shower. BUT toilet too far into corner to transfer onto it, and basin/vanity too high with no leg space underneath. Bedroom would need 1 bed removed to leave enough room to transfer onto other bed. Kitchen/cooking facilities not accessible at all. Too high and no leg space under bench. No point in wheelchair access! Otherwise excellent accommodation for able bodied.
I don’t normally write negative reviews, but this place definitely deserves one!nI was looking for a place to stay for one night and accidentally arrived at 8.01pm - 1 minute after closing. I still met a really friendly staff member in the area and she asked her boss where she could put us. He then came and told me in a very rude and disrespectful manner that I could not stay as I was too late 1 minute.nReally happy to got kicked off the property, otherwise this unfriendly and selfish man would have got my money!nOverall, not existent hospitality and not customer-friendly proprietary at all!
Like many out there, we don't get away as much as we want to. We travelled from Auckland looking for somewhere to get some R&R, kick back, check out the sights and to enjoy our 15th wedding anniversary. We found this amazing 'gem'. We received a very friendly, hearty welcome by Kelvin & Shelley who kindly shared the hotspots to visit & dine. We stayed 6nights here which was, without a doubt 'money well spent'!! Such a convenient location and surrouded by magical beaches just WOW!! They are very proud, hardworking owners and this clearly stands out as their entire facility is absolutely spotless throughout !! We got everything we needed and more...we look forward to promoting your business and how awesome the local community is. Thank you both & your staff for having us, the easter eggs went down a treat.nNga mihi nui
