HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! What a great place to stay beautiful people beautiful units very clean and serviced all amenities. Just a short walk to the local village which has all the facilities. Stayed there a couple of times previously and looking forward to another visit. We are two adults along with a 11 year old and we had no problem or issues with services there. The fact that others have poorly reviewed this place is beyond me as I can say otherwise about our experience.nMassive thanks to Kelvin and Shelly!!! Looking forward to our next trip!
Just incredibly rude and bitter people running the place.nnI read a few bad reviews on HostelWorld but thought I’d see for myself. I had to use the bathroom, the office was closed, and at the time I had planned to pay for a room so I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal even though I hadn’t paid yet, but the man was SO RUDE about it that I couldn’t believe it. This should be a good indicator of how welcoming they are, as well as their responses to any sort of negative comments. Legitimately the worst experience I had in 5 months of travelling and working in this country, actually the only bad one I can think of.nnI was still curious so asked a few questions but was so turned off after that, plus nothing special really stuck out. I ended up going to a different place in town, which was cheaper, WAY nicer, and most importantly welcoming and friendly.
Would rate the service 0 if I could,nWe used the toilet 3 minutes before check in when we arrived at 1.57 and was met with very rude staff saying we aren’t allowed to use the toilet before checking in. We were then not acknowledged at the desk when trying to check in.nHe was continuously rude during conversation and making unpleasant remarks. Extremely unwelcoming. We ended up booking somewhere else but 2 friends stayed. We were warned by staff that we were not allowed on the premises. Do not reccomend at all unless you want an arguament.
After the last AirBnb that I stayed in Coromandel was essentially a retired and run down ex-doc hut perched in someone's back yard 45 mins from town, hooked up with extension cords, damp, freezing and $210 per night, I decided to just try a motel this trip.nnI stayed here instead and absolutely loved it. Service was amazing, super friendly hosts, 10/10. Rooms were new, warm, well equipped. Location is also excellent, a literal 4 minute walk to the centre of town.nnI will 100% stay here again!
DO NOT STAY HERE. We arrived a little early so i thought i’d pop to the bathroom before we signed as we weren’t allowed to sign in until 2, at 1:58 i came out of the bathroom to be greeted by a large angry bloke who said, ‘i hope you have checked in before you used those’ so i replied with a, ‘no not yet just going to check in now’ and he in a very angry manner was telling me how i shouldn’t be using them and how they aren’t public toilets Nobody had explained on arrival that we weren’t allowed to use the facilities. But after trying to explain that he kept angrily saying how i shouldn’t use them as they are reserved for guests who were saying there maybe 2 people on site at the time staying there. So after all the angriness me and my partner decided to leave even after pre-paying and not getting a refund. We had friends staying here at the time and were told if we don’t check in we cannot come on the premises even to pick them up!nCan’t wait to see his reply to this.
