Friendly and helpful staff, cool location and local history exibit

Awesome place. Cafe and great veiws with staff that have a good knowledge of the area. Really cool maps and displays.

The visitor center has displays showing geological, social and historical info of the area. Normally you go there to get trail information prior to hiking in the Coromandel Forest Park.  However the road to the trail heads had been destroyed last year. You cannot hike in there so making it pointless to go to the visitor center.
