Waverley RSL

Seeing it is always so very busy, decided to try it Monday - $22 Seafood Complimentary bread roll and butter. Ordered Grilled Barramundi with Vegetables and Chips. Was meant to come with Hollandaise sauce but it came with Tartare Sauce. The fish was over cooked and dry. Some of the chips were hard, although some were light and crispy. Also ordered the Panko Crumbed Calamari with Chips and Salad. The calamari was surprisingly plump and tender and the coating was very light. The salad was a little small with standard pub fare Italian dressing and a heap of chips, again some were light and crispy but some were hard. The aioli and a wedge of lemon were good accompaniments. Service was friendly and food was prompt. Serves were well portioned.

Saw the Elvis show. Bloody brilliant. Food was good. Better than expected. Great value all round.

I had an amazing steak here. Scrumptious, mouth watering steak, cooked just the way I like it. Very good service here too. Worth a look if you want a special night out.

As a business owner of a $20M+ enterprise, if I wanted staff that would send me broke, I would hire the gentlemen on the front counter from Friday night the 4th of November, the Duty Manager & the lady behind the bar with purple hair. Our group of 8 Victoria work party turned up to an empty & baron club laughing and having a good time. Not only were we chastised about our QLD ID’s or only having digital ID’s at the front counter and told several times it was an RSL like this meant there were a different set of rules than the state standard, but we were immediately made to feel like we were in the wrong and doing something illegal. We finally after several minutes make it into the club and sit at a small table with a couch. We head to the bar to grab drinks and were greeted by the most bitter woman in customer service I have ever met. Purple Hair It was like she despised a good time and just wanted us to leave. She served us one drink, huffing and puffing about it like we were inconveniencing her. Fast forward 20minutes, we try to move the couch to bring it closer to the table, she comes running over to tell us we’re acting like we own the place and causing a ruckus? We put the couch back, head to the bar to get another drink and are told we have been cut off and will not be served. If you want to know why your club is mediocre, these staff that dealt with us on Friday are why? Sucked all the fun out of the experience and made it feel as if we were trying to have a good time in funeral home. We’ve come to work Monday talking about our work party for all the wrong reasons. That the customer service and experience we had at the Waverley RSL is the worst I have ever experienced personally or in business.. Ever.

Value for money. We tried nasi goreng, american pork ribs and lemon lime bitters. All of them were well cooked and super tasty. You get to pick from a wide range meals. Portion is enough for one person. Staff is really friendly and well mannered. Highly recommended and will visit them once again for sure.

Must say this club punched well above it's weight. The food quality was very good as is the service. Well worth a visit. PS. The mashed potato is 'Special' as was the steak.

One star for today . Usually we always come and been looked after a gentleman and other staff with a great smile and care.But today we came and the waiting staff especially two of the big girls were very rude, blunt and not at all courteous. We were told that tonight the curry special is Butter chicken after two serves of lamb curry we called in before coming So we took our time and came around 7.30pm We been seated , when asked about butter chicken, the waitress answer bluntly that no you can’t get it and she went off . she could have said this with some courtesy words like “Sorry “ anyways we thought to leave and at the reception lovely lady Inca was surprised to see us leaving and she asked us . She said “ I’m quite surprised that they said that it’s not available “as she remembers that we called in to check earlier and it shouldn’t be a big deal. she said let me check with them. So after 2 minutes she said you guys can dine in . We went and got seated on the only eyes gesture of the waitress directing us go there and sit We would like to say “ the chicken was not butter chicken but just plain curry , worst taste ever and the service was pathetic maybe these waitress were not happy to serve us we hardly ate our dinner and we paid the bill. After paying ….the waitress asked “ do you want receipt “ I said yes and she handed over without saying Thankyou or bye. Shame on you Usually as I said we always have fantastic service from the staff . It’s been so many years and we are regular . Management should look into this matter seriously. We felt maybe it’s our skin colour which make these two waitress discriminate . I’m sorry but we felt really bad. On our receipt the name is “ Caitlin” and the other girl who took our order was look alike this girl. But we still want to Thank “ Inca “ at the reception for her warm and caring nature.

Lovely setting and well cooked meals. We caught up with an old friend there tonight. The young lady who took our orders was friendly and lovely. We had cocktails to start...brought to us by a charming young man. We had the Barramundi and lamb shoulder - both delicious, the chips were amazing! Our night was totally spoilt by another waitress - Caitlin. She was rude, interrupted our conversations, banged down our one dessert. When she asked if we would like dessert, one of us said he'll have a look - so only he got a menu. After she took his order, she grabbed the menu. The rest of us had to ask to look at it. Then she came back, interrupted our conversation with, "so have you made your decision yet?". I paid the bill with a credit card and it was returned with a bang on the table with not even a thank you. Extremely disappointed and will definitely reconsider returning. She left a terribly bad taste in our mouth despite the rest of the experience being more than pleasant.

Wonderful lunch with my Aunty's who have been here on more than one occasion

Delicious food, excellent service and beautiful surroundings! Just doesn't get any better
