Story

A classic kiwi pub, full of local characters, friendly bar staff and nonstop entertainment!

We've got 16 big screen TV's showing all the major sports, all day long. RUGBY (of course), hockey, boxing, ufc, woman’s beach volleyball etc etc etc!

There are 2 Pool tables, numerous free dart boards, a giant jenga, 18 gaming machines and Wanaka's only TAB!

We are a BEER MASTER pub for the 5th year running and have the largest tap beer range in town. Speight’s (dah!) DB, Export, APA, Monteiths Original, Guinness and many more!

Wednesday in Winter is quiz night; Friday, after the Lions raffle and free sausage sizzle we have local acoustic musicians; then Saturday it's all about the Party! Rock, Country, classic pub favourites, kiwi bands pumping out the tunes all night long!

Our Restaurant 'THE GRILL' is open 7 nights and serves up plates piled high with incredible BBQ Ribs, thick juicy Rib Eye steaks, towering burgers and other seasonal deliciousness! Stroll on in or book ahead on 03 443 7148.

Fantastic service. Patient barman that waited while I mucked about making up my mind. Good simple food. Not too much to choose from which was great. Hubby had the steak and ale pie with seasonal veg. I had the rib eye with seasonal veg. The steak and pie were gorgeous but the veg! Hubby doesnt generally like veg but he just couldnt get enough. Plenty of sports to watch if you're that way inclined. Music in the background but still very easy to have a nice conversation. Loved the atmosphere and casual setting. Thanks for a great visit.
