We recently stayed at the W Sydney and it was an unforgettable experience for both my wife and me. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after every detail of our stay.nnThe hotel itself is stunning — modern, stylish, and full of energy, with amazing views over Darling Harbour. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable.nnWe loved spending time at the pool and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere throughout the hotel. The dining options were excellent as well, with a great variety to choose from.nnWhat really stood out was the service — every team member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect.nnWe can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sydney!
Honestly I’m surprised to see the rates are low here, as I did have a great stay with them. Hotel staffs are very friendly to my dog, the whole stay is lovely. Breakfast is good. Location is amazing to see the fireworks. Nothing to complain. Thank you W Hotel for being pet friendly.
We had an incredible stay at W Sydney! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. The rooms were stylish, spacious, and had amazing views of Darling Harbour. The pool area was stunning, and breakfast was absolutely delicious with plenty of variety. Every little detail felt thoughtful and luxurious — a true 5-star experience. Can’t wait to come back!
I’ll admit I was a little hesitant after seeing some of the lower reviews, but my stay at the W Sydney couldn’t have been better. The hotel is super modern with a great vibe from the moment you walk in. Location is perfect for getting around, the rooftop pool is a must, and breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. Honestly, Marriott finally doing it right for once — I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Our recent stay at W Sydney had its highs and lows. Let’s start with the good: after requesting a room change, we were moved to a room with a fantastic view—modern, stylish, and truly reflective of the W brand’s flair. However, it’s worth noting that our initial room had a large structural pole obstructing the window, which was quite disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. I’ll attach a photo for reference. Thankfully, the staff did accommodate our request to move, and the second room made a noticeable difference in our experience.nnAnother point worth mentioning is our experience in the bar/lounge area. My wife and I were quietly working on our laptops while enjoying the ambiance, and we ordered a coffee followed by a soda with lemon and mint. While the service was prompt, the interaction left much to be desired. The waitress, who had a distinctive appearance Asian features with blue contact lenses, served us both times without saying a single word—not even a basic acknowledgment or reply to our “thank you.” We found this odd and a bit cold, especially for a premium hospitality environment. We gave it another try to see if it was just a one-off, but unfortunately, the same silence was repeated.nnOverall, W Sydney offers an undeniably stylish atmosphere and, once in the right room, a great view. However, the level of personal service—especially in a hotel that presents itself as a luxury experience—could use more attention and warmth. Sometimes, it’s the small human touches that define a stay.
