I recently had the pleasure of staying at the W Sydney, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric, modern, and chic—exactly what you'd expect from such a renowned hotel.nnBut what truly made my stay exceptional was the outstanding service we received, particularly from one staff member—Kimmy. I was celebrating my birthday with friends, and Kim went above and beyond to ensure that my celebration was unforgettable. Her attention to detail, kindness, and dedication made the entire experience feel so special. She surprised us with a birthday dessert! From thoughtful surprises to ensuring we had everything we needed, Kim truly made my birthday a memory I will cherish forever.nnThe hospitality at W Sydney is next-level, but Kim's personal touch is what elevated our stay to something extraordinary. Thank you, Kimmy, for making our trip so remarkable and for going out of your way to make sure we had the best time!nnI will certainly be returning, and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. If you're looking for a place that combines luxury, great vibes, and exceptional staff—this is it!
This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever visited! And I visited many luxurious hotels all over the world.nMy husband and I enjoyed our stay here so much! The staff were amazing from the beginning to end. Super helpful, beautiful designed hotel and clean room. Highly recommended and will definitely come back in my next visit in Sydney!
Hotel is in a great location. Was able to see a lot of the city by walking around. Room was very nice and modern. Staff I dealt with were very nice and pleasant. My onlynissue is seeing dirty laundry carts every time I walked out of my room. Even in cheaper hotels, I have never experienced that let alone at a 5 star hotel. Mentioned it to a few employees and through the Bonvoy app, but they were never relocated.
Absolutely Fantastic stay at the W. Nicholas at reception was the most attentative and helpful you could ask for in guest services. He helped us check in, understand the room, and upgraded our room from a long travel back to Australia from the US.nn5 Stars for Nicholas, we were so impressed with his attitude and friendliness. 5 stars also for the room itself, the view and the room service breakfast we ordered, absolutely fantastic presentation and great food/coffee.nnI read a few iffy reviews of the W online, it seems they had growing pains right when they opened, and at least to me it seems they have resolved them tenfold, as the service was the best we've experienced in many years, and the rooms were clean, neat and simple fantastic.nnWill absolutely return on our next trip back to Sydney!
If you’re thinking the W is a five star hotel. Sorry to disappoint you! It’s definitely not!nnW Sydney was a real disappointment for us as it came highly recommend. We gave management numerous opportunities to make our situation right but the team was reluctant to help.nnWe tried to extend our stay one extra night due to changed schedules and were told pricing at the front desk. We decided to go ahead with the quoted pricing which management was not willing to honour or allow us to book. Management claimed we made the pricing up. After 3 calls and 4 hours of back and forth management finally agreed that the staff member had made a ‘mistake’ and decided to honour the pricing provided by the front desk. This came too little too late after hours of being accused of making pricing up by management…nnStaff don’t know what they’re doing, management are rude and not willing to help. Indoor pool has no service so you can’t get a drink or a coffee by the pool. Indoor pool was also freezing cold and unusable / not heated.nnOutdoor pool is completely outside with no cover from the rain. Upstairs bar is closed all day and only open at night… The team at Valet were very nice, however, forgot to mention the over $100 a day in valet fees we were being charged to us when we arrived…nnNo where to have coffee, expect the lobby, with people trying to book in! We left our stay confused why anyone would want to come here… The hotel experience as a whole was not there. We left exhausted and didn’t get to use any of the amenities. Complete waste of money.nnSo many better options in Sydney. I was thinking of booking the W in Dubai for my next holiday. After this experience I will never book W again and highly recommend everyone to look elsewhere.
