From the moment we arrived, every part of our stay exceeded expectations. The service was genuinely exceptional, with every staff member friendly, professional and eager to help.nnThe location is perfect, right on Darling Harbour and within easy walking distance of restaurants, attractions and the CBD. The views are spectacular and made our stay even more memorable.nnThe breakfast was outstanding, with an extensive selection of fresh, high-quality food and excellent coffee. It was easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had.nnA fantastic five-star experience from start to finish. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.
I had an absolutely wonderful day stay I look forward to coming back. All of the staff were brilliant, the service in the club was always consistently good and the view is just stunning. Accor Platinum and room was upgraded. The breakfast options were just exceptional. I will be booking all of my future Sydney stays here.
We stayed here to celebrate my parents' first trip to Australia and a special birthday occasion.nnThe highlight of our stay was being able to watch the Vivid Sydney fireworks from our room. It was a wonderful experience and a memory that my parents will cherish for a long time. The doormen and porters were also very friendly, professional, and welcoming.nnHowever, there were several disappointing aspects. Before our arrival, I was told that a birthday request could be arranged, but there was no follow-up during our stay, and we never received any update despite asking staff. Better communication between staff regarding guest requests would be greatly appreciated.nnI was also disappointed by the attitude of one staff member, who appeared noticeably warmer and more attentive toward white guests than toward us. As a five-star hotel, I believe all guests should receive the same level of hospitality and service.nnIn addition, the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and kept disconnecting throughout our stay, which was quite inconvenient.nnI understand the hotel was extremely busy during Vivid Sydney, but given the reputation and price of a five-star hotel, I expected a higher and more consistent standard of customer service and staff training.nnOverall, the fireworks view was unforgettable, but the service experience did not fully live up to the hotel's reputation.
The most amazing place to stay in Sydney. The lady on reception let us check it at 11am, after only attending the hotel with the intention of leaving our luggage until the room was ready at 3. The staff also helped me arrange balloons and some complimentary wine and cake the day before our arrival, as I was extremely last minute. Every member of staff was so so helpful. Gorgeous, clean rooms and the most amazing view. Can’t wait to return.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, made even more special by the warmth of the Sofitel team.nnA very special thank you to Mina and Daan at Atelier Restaurant, who were such lovely hosts during the two evenings we spent there. Their genuine warmth, attentiveness and conversations made us feel so welcome, and the surprise tea they arranged in our room was such a thoughtful and touching gesture.nnWe also really appreciated Ian and Luis from Concierge for their friendly service and great suggestions.nnOur room had beautiful views of Darling Harbour, and the hotel's location is fantastic, with the light rail right outside, making getting around Sydney incredibly convenient.nnWhat we'll remember most, though, is the people. Thank you to the entire Sofitel team for making our Sydney holiday so enjoyable and memorable. We truly felt looked after and would love to return!
