A few mornings ago at breakfast, I was seated by a staff member in the area furthest from the windows, along with all other East Asian guests.nnIt was impossible not to notice that every person in this section shared the same racial background. In contrast, all the white guests were seated by the windows. It was striking—and frankly, unsettling—to see such a clear pattern: East Asian guests near the entrance, white guests in the front. The staff member who directed us to our seats was a brown-haired European woman.nnI felt deep disappointment and concern about the cultural awareness and mindset reflected in this seating practice. It is disheartening to witness such implicit profiling at a hotel of this reputation. I had expected more from both the city of Sydney—renowned for its cosmopolitan identity—and from a hotel of this caliber.nnWhile I was satisfied with other aspects of the hotel’s service, this particular experience stood in stark contrast.nnA hotel’s service is not limited to physical amenities; the emotional tone, dignity, and cultural sensitivity conveyed by its staff are equally important.nnI sincerely hope that this aspect of the guest experience is addressed, and that the hotel evolves into a place where all guests can enjoy their stay in a setting that is not only physically comfortable but also emotionally inclusive and respectful.
Absolutely adored the hotel! The location was fantastic and the staff were always happy to help. Conveniently situated in the heart of the city, close to the vibrant Barangaroo dining scene, lively bars, and charming boats at Kings Wharf. The rooftop bar, Zephyr, was absolutely top-notch with breathtaking views of Darling Harbour. The room was spacious and perfect for a couple, featuring a luxurious king-size bed and floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning harbour views. I will definitely stay here again!
Great location and service. The harbour view is a must, as nothing melts away a day of stress and fatigue like the amazing and soothing Darling Harbour view. I travel quite often for business and have stayed in many Hyatt properties across the globe, the simple yet warm and welcoming business lounge is still one of my favorites.

I've stayed at Hyatt Regency Sydney multiple times and it never disappoints! The rooms are always clean, modern, and comfortable. The location overlooking Darling Harbour is unbeatable. Breakfast is consistently excellent with plenty of variety and fresh options. The staff are friendly, professional, and make every stay feel welcoming. Highly recommend for both business trips and relaxing getaways!
