For the price, I was really happy with this hotel.nnI was given a room upgrade, the food & beverage were excellent.The bedding was fresh and comfortable. Everything was done well.nnWhen I stayed here several years ago, I experienced many service issues. Things have significantly improved since then. The service I encountered on this weeknight-stay was excellent.nnMy only complaint: the downstairs bar should remain open longer - 22:30 is too early to close.nnNonetheless, I would happily stay here again.
Great hotel in a prime location, within walking distance of Darling Harbour, multiple shopping malls, and easy access to Monorail stations, making it a convenient choice for exploring Sydney.nnThe room was a good size, clean, and modern, providing a comfortable stay. The on-site restaurant was decent but pricey, so it’s more cost-effective to grab food nearby, given the many great dining options within walking distance.nnA delightful perk is the weekly fireworks at Darling Harbour, which add a fun and memorable touch to the stay.nnOverall, a solid choice for location, comfort, and convenience, with just a slight knock for the expensive dining.

Its perfect proximity to various commercial areas and attractions makes it an ideal choice.nnServices / Team: We received excellent service from both the reception and restaurant teams, particularly during breakfast. The only issue we encountered during our stay was an unpleasant encounter with the manager, Benjamin, which was eventually resolved after a few discussions.nDespite the incident with Benjamin, the service provided by the rest of the team was outstanding.nnCheck-in Process: The check-in process was remarkably efficient, effortless, and pleasant. There was no need to wait in line, as there were about four to five staff members at the reception. They provided outstanding service, even during the peak busy season when we visited over the bank holiday weekend.nRooms:The rooms are both spacious and highly efficient.nBed: Good in general.nBathroom: Average.nInternet Connection: The connection is stable and fast in all areas of the hotel. Very good for working.nnViews: We had the pleasure of staying in two rooms: one offered a stunning view of the harbour and featured a lovely balcony, while the other, located in the hotel's new tower, provided an impressive vista of both the city and the harbour. Both accommodations were excellent and suited our needs perfectly.nnCleanliness: In general, the hotel is very well maintained and we had our room cleaned always on time.nnBreakfast:nOne of the finest breakfasts we’ve experienced to date. The team is incredibly efficient, ensuring that all tables are consistently clean and well attended. There's an egg station offering a delightful variety of dishes to choose from.nAdditionally, the bread station features local products that are both fresh and delicious. While the breakfast may be on the pricier side, it is absolutely worth every penny.nnHighlights: The location is incredibly convenient for those visiting the city for a short stay.nnQuality vs Price: Very high price, but the services and the location are worth it. In general, positive experiences.nnRate: We would recommend this hotel overall, but due to an unfortunate experience with the manager during our stay, we have decided not to return. Nonetheless, we believe it still has qualities worth recommending.
The hotel is nice in a great location but we chose a king room in the tower and it was outdated and even looked old and dirty. For the money would most likely stay somewhere else on a future trip to Sydney though easy walk to Darling Harbour and the shopping area.
My stay at the Hyatt Regency Sydney was a mixed bag. While the hotel was undeniably clean and the staff were professional, several aspects fell short of expectations for a hotel of this caliber. The room itself was average, with amenities that felt similarly unremarkable. The bathroom was particularly cramped, which was inconvenient. A significant drawback was the lack of a pool, a feature I would expect in a hotel of this size and reputation. Furthermore, some rooms, including mine, lacked windows, leading to a stuffy atmosphere. While the cleanliness was a positive, the overall experience felt underwhelming given the price point and the brand's reputation. I'd hesitate to recommend it unless other factors, such as location, are paramount.
