Victoria Market and between Vic Market and Elizabeth St there are lots of nice venues to eat. As for Market I never find much I like to buy there apart from deli's and fruit and veg are great. There are plenty of stalls if you want sheepskins, moccasins, cheap clothes, bags, shoes, pet stuff, pictures but would love to see a bit of a fresh injection of some nice stalls added.

Always one of my favourite places, even if some of the stalls seemed to sell the same things for the past 20 years! Donuts have become a bit more showy, nothing like the small vans on the side of the Rd they used to be. Still, some great food purchased from the hall and an essential beanie for upcoming travel. Friday, we missed all the big crowds so that was a bonus.

I didn’t have a full meal—just snacked and soaked up the atmosphere. One of the highlights was a delicious, traditional Italian cannoli from a charming little Italian shop tucked in the deli section. Perfectly crisp shell, smooth ricotta filling—absolutely divine.nnI also enjoyed one of the tastiest coffees I’ve had in Melbourne—rich, strong, and made with love. There’s something really special about wandering the market in the morning, coffee in hand, with the smells of fresh bread, spices, and sizzling food all around.nnEven with just a few small bites, the experience was full of flavour and culture. The variety of street food options is amazing—every corner feels like a different country. Can’t wait to come back and explore more!

We loved the food market. We got a bratwurst that was super tasty and we bought biltong after a sample that really impressed us. This market is great if youre staying at a self catering place because they sell mainly raw ingredients cheese, bread, meats etc but you can definitely get some amazing ready to eat options too.
