Absolutely hopeless! I went to the store and spoke to a sales person about getting a monitor for my son for Christmas he said he would order it in for me....apparently he went on holidays and didn't log me or any of my details into their system . Going on three weeks now and have rang them and gone out of my way to see if they can provide me with any information about this item and said they will contact the sales person to give me an update on what's going on. I haven't heard anything back from them. I visited the store again yesterday and was told the sales person would get back to me yesterday afternoon...which was another fail. Very disappointed how they conduct themselves as a business and their lack of communication with their customers.
Went to buy a freezer. Kristybehind the counter was fantastic. Worked really hard to find something suitable for us and that we could take home that day. She really went above and beyond what we expected.
I ordered a new Samsung Smart TV from this store over a month ago . I was told that there may be a delay of several weeks . I was given a price and I accepted the deal . I waited approximately 2+ Weeks and then rang to see how my order was progressing. I was advised that the TV had not yet arrived but they would follow it up and get back to me . I then waited for a further 2 weeks and called again to be given the same advice and a promise to call me back immediately after they had spoken to their supplier. Again the promise was not kept . So what do I do? Cancel the order and drive up to Adelaide and go to Harvey Norman’s or do I wait in limbo ?As with others who have reviewed this Store, I want to support local business. I hope that this post will spur on some action, namely a phone call telling me when I can expect delivery of the TV .
I am leaving this review here because of the saga that I have been through trying to get my washing machine. This store is the franchise holder for the Kangaroo Island store and in the course of my truly horrible experience, I had dealings with both the KI store and personnel from the Victor Harbour store. Long story short, I ordered online and paid in-full for my washing machine, to pick up from the Kangaroo Island store, on 24 Aug. By 17 September, instead of my washing machine, I had a refund and the most infuriating and disappointing customer experience of my entire life. The purchase started out well. The advice I received about the type of washer that would be suitable for my needs was sound. I was provided with product information and catalogues and told that while they weren't currently in stock, I could use the website to order and select the pick up in-store option. I did this on 24 August and was excited about my purchase arriving expecting that it would take at least a week. It is worth noting, at this point, that my old washing machine had broken down. After the first week, I rang for an update. The very helpful sales rep promised to follow up for me, and did so promptly, informing me that it could be another week. I was offered another cheaper machine that was in-stock, but was unsuitable for my needs as had been established when I went in to purchase something in the first place. I was disappointed that my order had not arrived, but I grinned and bared it. After another week, I rang again and was told there was no date for arrival for my order, but they would follow up. A week later I received an email from the Victor Harbour store telling me they would not supply the washing machine I had ordered and paid for over 3 weeks prior, again trying to push on me the washer that was completely unsuitable. Considering the stuff-around I had already experienced, this email was extremely poor, and it was clear that, despite purchasing an appliance worth nearly $1200, I was not worth their time of day. Instead of my washer, I ended up a three week long headache and a refund. By this time, my non-essential laundry pile was both essential and mountainous. I was left in tears. After the treatment I received as a paying customer, I will never buy anything from a store with Betta in its name ever again. Perhaps I would be more understanding if I had only paid a deposit, but I paid in-full, in good faith and received nothing but a run-around and a lifetime of regret for ever having bothered with this company at all. The only reason they even get one star from me is because of the very helpful and understanding sales rep at the KI store, who, it became clear, was also being given the fob-off by the Victor Harbour franchise. Thanks to the lovely, caring staff at Harvey Norman, I now have a suitable, working washer at just over half the price of what I had originally forked out at Betta Home Living. My advice is, don't bother with Betta.
WORST OWNERS I’VE EVER KNOW! They have the worst communication! Do not buy from them and help them earn money. Go and buy from a different Betta store!
Prompt and very efficient service with recent purchase of split system r/c air con. Solid local business. Have bought a number of items from here, including a special narrow dish washer. Helpful staff who researched out the model I needed and ordered in for me. Pricing not quite as keen as the big players, but they make up for that with serious service. Shop local I say!

So disappointed in this store. 1st transaction I made with them, was great. Friendly, fast service. 2nd, not at all. Paid in full for a product, online, only to be told when I called to pick up that there would be a 2-3 week wait, but they offered me the older version at a "cheaper" rate. The same rate that the old version is selling for. I declined and opted to wait. 3 weeks went by and I called again after hearing nothing. They informed me there was a delay in shipment of the Bissell products and no stores had them. I was again offered the older version at the "cheaper" rate.I thought this was odd so contacted Bissell directly and enquired about the hold up. After 3 days of Bissell investigating, it was found the reason why BE werent receiving any Bissell products, is because this store owes Bissell money for previous products and would not be sending them any products any time soon. I had to call BE Head Office in QLD, explain the issue twice before they were able to transfer my order to another store, with the hopes of it arriving next week. I asked for it to be sent today via courier. No compensation was mentioned for the fact that I have been lied to, had to make phone call after phone call to find my paid for machine. VH BE recieved $459 of our money and gave me nothing but a headache. I will no longer shop at this store. We are encouraged to shop locally but if this is the service we receive, then no thank you.
Have been here several times purchasing from TV to oven. So helpful and they do the price research for you.
