I had an excellent experience with Joel and Inshira at JB Hi-Fi in Melrose Park. From the moment I walked in, they were attentive, patient, and genuinely interested in helping me find exactly what I needed—without being pushy or overwhelming. Offered help as soon as I walked in the door, i knew what I wanted, price matched, out the door a happy customer in under 5 minutes.
A huge thank you to the lovely girl with the funky orange hair who helped us the other day. She mentioned she’d only been working there a few days and was still learning, but you would never know, she was so warm, genuine, and caring.nnShe made my senior mum feel seen and valued, and was so sweet when she showed her photos of her decorations for her upcoming birthday, responding with such genuine kindness and interest. Her beautiful customer service made our day, JB Hi-Fi is lucky to have her!
Extremely disappointing experience at JB Hi-Fi.nnI purchased a cable from this store after being specifically told by staff that it would allow me to connect my phone to my car and use CarPlay. The cable worked initially, but later stopped functioning. When I returned to the store to discuss the issue and request a refund, I was told by the staff member at the counter that the cable was “only for charging” and not for connecting to CarPlay.nnWhat frustrated me most was that another staff member confidently repeated the same claim, despite the fact that I had personally used the cable for CarPlay before it stopped working. It felt like they were trying to dismiss my concern rather than investigate the actual fault.nnOnly after I firmly explained that the cable had previously connected to CarPlay did they agree to process a refund. If the cable was truly “charge-only,” then how did it work for CarPlay in the first place?nnThe whole experience left me questioning whether the staff actually understood the products they were selling or were simply saying whatever was convenient at the time. Customers rely on staff advice when making purchases, and receiving contradictory information from the same store is unacceptable.nnI appreciate that the refund was eventually processed, but the misleading advice and dismissive attitude made this a very frustrating experience. Don’t trust the people who work here
I had one of the best experiences and customer service. I bought a laptop and inear headphones. Thanks to Idnul for the exceptional customer service, patience and going above and beyond.nnWill certainly be shopping there again.
