Not gonna lie, crispy finger licking good crumbed fish. If you're passing through, make a stop. Its quick and affordable. Minus 1 star because charging for tomato sauce in this day and age is over the top... If a customer asks for some, give them a small portion, if they order 20 pieces of fish then charge a little bit, but for a single serving, com'on

I had the fish and chips for lunch last week, I was really impressed with the fish, it was huge, fresh and cooked perfectly. A very generous serve of hot crispy chips on top of a great price. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time.

Well, 'Vella's Fish Bar' it's OK. I suppose...🤗🤔I don't go out very often I and my partner we prefer to cook and eat at home😄I purchased though some 'fish and chips' from 'Vella's' and I paid a fortune for a 2 small pieces of fish, and for 'over cooked' chips.🙁Not a very good thing. So I do not go there anymore. If I want chips, I would rather buy a frozen bag from supermarket low in saturated fat, and cook them at home in my oven...Or, the best I make my own fish🐟 & chips 🍟hey!😊😉

Tried to phone ahead an order for pickup but phone rang out. I also couldnt find a menu anywhere so phone ordering is next to impossible. (might be why the phone rings out constantly) Made our order in the shop instead. Waited just over 20 minutes - it was busy so promising. Happy with the burgers they were made well and delicious. The chips were a little small for what we were expecting but otherwise much better than local fish and chips we have down the road. Worth the drive from northern beaches.

One of the best fish and chips shops in Mackay. Always have quick service and very high quality products. Unfortunately they are selling their shop, so get in quick to grab some amazing quality food.
