Woodie’s never fails to amaze with their amazing coffee, scrumptious food and incredible and friendly staff. We can’t thank Jason, Ally and staff enough for always providing a great experience everytime.
My husband, Hugh and I, were on the hunt for a solid brunch spot while visiting Mackay, and Woodman’s Axe popped up on our radar. It had good google reviews. We’re glad it did.nnThere’s indoor seating if you want to escape the heat, but we managed to grab a table outside and enjoyed the morning sun with the hum of the street in the background — a lovely way to start the day.nnThe place was pretty busy, which is always a good sign, but our meals came out reasonably quickly and everything was spot on. The coffee was a smooth and strong — just how we like it.nnThere’s a nice buzz here. Relaxed but efficient. Great service, and it all feels very well run without being too try-hard. You get the sense this is a local favourite, and for good reason.nnIf you’re in Mackay and looking for a brunch spot that delivers on both food and atmosphere, definitely give Woodman’s Axe a go. I don’t think you’ll leave disappointed — we certainly didn’t.
I came here looking for Gluten free, Dairy free and sugar free options as I have a lot of allergies and intolerances. The staff was very friendly, and my food was amazing considering the plain option I chose.
Great coffee , had the special blend . B&E roll was delicious , fresh and you could taste the bacon egg and cheese not too much sauce nNice to see lots of young staff assume local kids- if they could work on a nice greeting , understanding of your coffee options and a smile - then my experience would have been perfect. Thank you for the great coffee n food I’ll be back !
I've never been inspired to take to google to write a review before and especially not before i've even finished the food.nBest tasting steak i've ever had.nEggs were soft fluffy and melted in my mouth.n1000/10 reccomend this place.nSmiles all around, great vibes and amazing food!!nMy partner loved her french toastnAnd the drinks were amazing too!!
