This company is very racist. I have attended the group interview for applying this company 4 years ago then during my self introduction, they started recommending me working in sushi shop downstairs because I am an Asian. Then I couldn't even finish my introduction and was kicked out from interview. I definitely don't recommend you to choose this company. I am sure they are not nice to employee and customers.
Ubertas rebranded to TWIG in the last 12 months. I've already shared my review on the TWIG listing. I encourage those people who have had a negative experience with Ubertas to also share their experience there. To be fair, most of my experience with TWIG/Ubertas was actually very positive and for most of the time I was renting with them I was very happy. However, the ending of the lease and their behaviour since then has been appalling. Long story short, TWIG/Ubertas and I as the tenant mutually agreed to end a lease in the last week of March 2020. It would be less than the full month of rent I would usually pay so I asked them how much I should pay at the beginning of the month. They told me to just hold off, but then it got to about the middle of the month and they instructed me to pay the full month and that they “will refund you any overpaid rent if you move out earlier.” That’s a quote from the email I received from them on March 13. As requested, I made the payment for the full month, expecting that I would receive a refund for the overpayment because that is what I was told. I then handed the keys back on March 23. The next day I received a call from Philip telling me something along the lines of that there was an amount that was going to be refunded. This was the last I heard from Philip. After sending a few follow up emails over the course of the next 4 weeks and being ignored each time, I followed it up with other staff members I had been dealing with. Although Annamaria is in sales, she had been the one I dealt with the most, I think because during the course of the lease the apartment got sold and I had been working with her at the time to arrange viewings. Since then, she had been the main point of contact. Why a sales person was quasi managing the property seems strange to me and makes me not only question the professionalism of TWIG, but also the legalities of someone who is not a Property Manager essentially managing the property, and also if I was a Landlord I would be unhappy to find out that there wasn’t really someone managing the property properly at all there was never even an inspection. Since then, they tried to handball the issue off to the property owner, they then apparently didn’t know when we had ended the lease, and then they told me I was being unreasonable in expecting a refund conveniently forgetting that they explicitly told me in writing that I would receive a refund, and they continue to ignore me. It has now been 4 months since I vacated and I have been incredibly patient with them but this is beyond ridiculous. It is not even a big amount that I am seeking to be refunded, but it is shocking how they can tell me one thing in writing and then try to shirk their responsibilities. I will be seeking further advice from this and perhaps taking the matter to VCAT.
They are the most unprofessional company out there in Victoria, don’t trust there word as they use people and waste there time, they have gathered a bunch of so called people who have no self respect or morals in life and called it a company
