First time in Wellington. Highly recommended this hotel. Perfect location. Attentive staff. The cleaning staff were very friendly. I just found the bathroom small and not very sophisticated! But clean and organized!
First stay at this hotel and unfortunately the front desk wasn't manned when I got there which meant a wait of around 10 minutes and this made a que form. The room was a good size and is well maintained. Unfortunately the noise factor from the hallway could be heard rather easily but other than that all was well. The restaurant is on point, good food and good portion sizes.
Had 2 nights here. upon looking at the pictures , we thought it looked good for the price. when we arrived the room we booked in with was quite small and it was dated. we asked to check other rooms as the pictures online were misleading and false compared to what we actually saw.nnThe room had stains on the carpet and walls , scratches and dents on the walls , the shower was not clean in a sense of it had mould in the silicone and the corners were full of muck and the grout and tiles on the base had dark patches in the grout and the tiles has a white cloudy residue on them.nnWe check out 4 or 5 other rooms in which we had to pick the best one . All of which had some degree of the above stain or damage.nnConsidering the price we paid we have stayed at much cleaner ,well appointed rooms and larger for the same cost or even less.nThis travelodge needs maintenance throughout the areas we saw, considering how much it can be per night the hotel needs to be cleaned and revamped in some waynThe location is convenient to attractions , eateries and the waterfront.nThe staff member that we spoke to that night and took us around the other rooms on multiple levels was fantastic and understanding of the situation. I just don't remember her name
KiaorannEasy booking online. Price was great for room. Shower is great, BEWARE pressure it down for those delicate sensitive areas!! BUFFET breakfast was amazing!! Apart from the plastic found in food and shown to chef.nnPARKING FEE NOT DISCLOSED with booking online.nnIf you have spent time sleeping on the streets as i have, this place is a step up from that and you will appreciate it.nnWE WONT STAY AGAIN though unfortunately for TRAVEL LODGE.nnHaving to pay $28 dollars for parking on top of $144 made the total price payed competitive with other accomodation.nnThe staff at reception highly unprofessional as the young man and young lady were bickering between the two of them in front of us. ENTERTAINING and AMUSING though. The young man had a very unfriendly uninviting manner about him and we felt unwelcome and we had just arrived.nnThe room 12## had a urine smell to it. The bed felt as though it had a lean to one side making for a disruptive sleep. My partner and I switched sides and she agreed.nnPlenty of options for accomodation we will explore next time.
The room was misleading in the pictures. It was musty actually smelt a bit like urine and had thick dust on the picture frame and mirrors. The bed felt as if the mattress was split n on a massive lean on one side, the room was stuffy even tho we had the fan on and windows open the entire time. No service book or greeting card. Good selection of tea n coffee but no hot chocolate and a very small milk.. no fan in bathroom so room was very wet all night. The tv was tiny but in a good position 4 watching in bed.nWe had nothing to wipe up spilt coffee etc so this could be an improvement.nThe buffet breakfast was Good well equipped but the food was a bit on the cold side and the scrambled eggs were a mix of undercooked with overly cooked egg in between. I asked about gf df options available and there was .. so that's was a bonus. Be good to have some nicer cereal, i.e., nutrigrain or chex or gf options. But the small selection of fruit was good... mayb a coconut yogurt be great too. Or a sign to ask as I did not see but I had already enquired.nAlso few stains in the room thstccould be treated making it feel shabby n old.
