We sell quality fresh seafood and fish and chips, and we care about it's source and 'story' i.e. preferably sustainable and local!

Do you want to know where your seafood comes from? Whether it is from a sustainable or environmentally friendly source? If it is from the local area? We can provide that!

As established fisheries researchers, we both have a lot of knowledge we can share.. Andrew is also a commercial fisher, and catches much of the fish we sell!

We strive to provide high quality seafood, whether you want to purchase it fresh to take home, or have us cook it for you as 'fish and chips'.

We cater for the budget conscious, as well as those who want a high grade seafood 'treat'.

Fresh caught mackerel in a housemade crumb, dont let the dark colour of the crumb fool you this fish is perfectly cooked and taste so fresh & juicy, add in some seafood sticks, a scallop with the roe on as its meant to be. Finished the meal with  pineapple and banna fritters sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and a chocolate dipping sauce. Service was A+ with the prices very reasonable and got our food quickly then sat down and enjoyed the outdoor eating area.  Kid-friendliness: Gr8 meal options for the kids. Pick up a feed enjoy in the outdoor dining area or take the food to the strand not to far away.  Parking: Plenty of close parking available   Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to order and park, easy to navigate flat surfaces

Excellent fish and fresh seafood. The chips let the meal down a bit.

The best fish and chips I've had in a very long time! Being a local I've tried most of the fish and chip joints around town and even working in one myself for a number of years.  Everything stay nice and crispy even after going cold and old, even the chips were still good after they went cold! The desserts were amazing, would definitely recommend the banana fritters.  Highly recommended

Decided to try Tobin's out due to the hype of them winning multiple awards for best fish and chips in town. Whilst can't disagree with the fish part of it as the options were good and tasted great, the chips were just average and nothing special. Go there for the seafood and you'll love it

My order: battered barramundi fish and chips as recommended by the staff!  Their battered fish is light & crunchy! I do feel like the seasoning for the batter/fish could be a lil stronger personal preference  YESSAHH, the fish is FRESHH!  Their    must BUY! Its not an ordinary boring chips that is sold at every fish&chips. Theirs taste like wedges, but in chip form! You’ll know what I mean when you try it. lol  Yes, I appreciated the  !  Btw, there was no stinky oil smell in the food which is a major NO for me.  Will highly recommend locals & tourists

In one word.  Amazing.  The fish was the freshest I have ever had from a fish and chip shop - flaky, perfectly cooked mackerel in a deliciously light batter.  The chips were the type of beer-battered ones that have just the right amount of crunch on the outside but soft on the inside.  Calamari was the best I have had in a long time - perfectly cooked panko crumbed goodness.  Best fish and chips I have had yet in Townsville.

I went today for a dine in after researching reviews.  I found they were untruthful from our experience.  The fish was so dry and small serves.  The oysters second rate on the bottom.  Bug tails rubbery as been kept to long or overcooked.  Price expensive for the quality.  Sorry but I could give this experience one star. Very bad experience and would not recommend it's a waste of money .

I took the family down the beach today for fathers day fish and chips. After walking from the beach and having to wait an extra 20m for my order I got back to the beach and found they conveniently forgot to put the fish in our order. We normally share a peice of fish and share the chips so it was not just me that was disapointed but also my wife when all we had was chips to eat. I rang to and asked for a refund and was first told I could only be offered store credit lol. Nicely I asked I would prefer a refund they said ok. I did not get any sort of appology I felt like I was inconveniencing them for calling and asking about them forgetting one of the main parts of a fish and chips order. Anyway so I went and got my refund I was hoping they would try to say sorry and offer something to try and bring me back but all they did was refund me the exact price of the peice of fish and still I didnt even get an appology. They also had to give me cash because there was a queue and they did not want to make anyone wait in the queue while they used the eftpos machine to credit me back.  I am sure their food is good but what makes a good place brilliant is when mistakes happen they still keep the customer happy this place does not do this.  Suggestion for the owner if they read this. Take customers phone numbers so when you do find that part of a customers order you can go oh who just picked up and is missing their peice of fish and call them straight away so they can come back. secondly when you do make a mistake refund their entire order or say hey next time you order form here I will throw in a free peice of fish and I will come back.  Wont be visiting here again.
