After a long day exploring the CBD, we stumbled upon this place and were pleasantly surprised by the food—it was absolutely delicious! We loved the crispy chicken with tomato rice and their vermicelli salad, which was packed with flavor. The beef was also really tasty. The portions are big and the prices are low. If you're craving Vietnamese food, this spot is a must-try. The restaurant is cash-only, so be prepared. While some Google reviews mention poor service, our server was okay. Can't wait to come back and try the chef's recommendations next time.
Very reliable Vietnamese restaurant. We came on a very hot day and the air-con struggled to keep up. The food and service were great and I would definitely come back when in the area again. The value for money is pretty good - we spent around $55 for two people with 2 mains, 1 entree and 2 drinks.
Just wanted to say today I got a Bo Kho takeaway and it was the worst Bo kho I've had in a very long time. The broth is like water, taste is like water. The beef is tasteless. I've eaten there before and it has been great. But I don't know did you change cook/chef?Food: 1/5
Service was so fast, food arrived not long after we ordered. The bun bo hue was good. Definitely will be back to try other food items.Food: 4/5
Huge portions, such good value and it tastes delicious. I had the clear noodles with crispy skin chicken, chicken was super juicy and the soup was great - definitely recommend! Note that this place doesn't accept card, so bring cash though they did also have a bank transfer option
I have eaten here multiple times. The portion is always big and I have never finished my plate. All the food is good especially fried chicken. The chicken is so crispy that brings it to another level. All noodle dishes are good. One of the places in Sydney where Vietnamese bún riêu or grab vermicelli noodle soup is good. You need to remember that they only accept cash. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat Vietnamese food.
I think the food was nice. We love their grilled pork chop broken rice. The tapioca noodle with clear soup actually was quite normal. Will try something chef recommended next time. Street parking and car park nearby.Food: 4/5
Wonton Noodle Soup the wonton noodle soup was not bhed definitely GREAT soize. wontons just ok. it was a light broth. it definitely needed condiments and this place had it on DECKK a bit of satay, sriracha, chilli and fish sauce and you’re set. the meat was delicious tho, sweet and bite sized and did i mention it was huge cos boi, someone really full sent the noodz Crispy Chicken Tomato rice IT was crispy alright. WHEWW JOOCY as fucc and look at that skin glisten ahhh a huge portion of rice enough to feed a small village and also pickles. so many pickles i aint mad tho the soup that came with it was disappointing though. it was bland and didn’t have that crystal clear see through broth like the bahamas tomato rice a bit soggy in some parts but overall ok. the of the dish was definitely the chimkim. thank you for your service the chicken 4/6 not bad, good place for cheap viet food more sydney eats go to my ig! @hangryhawlz :
Came here for lunch. Short walk from Bankstown train station. Came in and was greeted in Vietnamese. Prices relatively cheap and portions were surprisingly big. Free tea also. They do not accept card, so must pay in cash. Missus wasn't too fond of her wonton noodle soup but she loved crispy chicken with tomato rice. Overall pleasant experience
Had Bun Bo Hue here for the first time and it was love at first sight. The broth is clean and flavorful. All the meat toppings are tender and delicious. The store looks clean and new. You can see the kitchen from the hall so you can feel the transparency of how your food is made. Price on the menu is very reasonable. Can definitely visit again!
