We had our Baby’s first birthday here last Sunday and I must say, I have chosen the best place to do it. Booked half the club with the balcony overlooking the lawn, just the perfect spot for it. I initially was so worried thinking the space wouldnt fit 50 people seated as the backdrop was big and 50 people food turned out to be 3x the table set up of what they set up for me, making it less space for seating. All turned out great in the end, thanks to the girl behind the bar! . A big thanks to Lusso kitchen team, Peter the GM, Michelle the Marketing manager, Sonia catering coordinator and again, the girl behind the bar and counter. Everyone had a fantastic time and loved the space! Sharing some photos of the space and the great spread from their catering menu, with what you can expect for 50 pax mixed seated and cocktail set-up.
Recently my partner and I shared fish tacos and a double patty beef burger at the Neutral Bay Club. Fantastic Friday night atmosphere outside, unpretentious, with plenty of activities for the kids on the green. Now back to the meal. The double beef patty burger was delicious, the meat tender, with fresh crunchy chips and dipping sauces to boot. We got away with sharing the burger as a main - completion would be a monumental feat on its own. The fish tacos were the lighter but no less tasty alternative; the fish was lightly battered, and combined nicely with the salad and Perinaise sauce. We will be back.
My daughter attended a tennis camp at the club back in January this year. She was left unattended with a few other kids at the end of the day. The kids ended up playing on a metal gate on one of the courts and as you can maybe anticipate this didn’t end well. She got hit by the gate which resulted in one of her adult tooth coming out, completely. I have been trying to liaise with the team at the club, Greg Stephenson, the tennis coach, and Glenn Jackson, the tennis manager, to put through an insurance claim to help with the growing financial cost of having to fix my daughter’s tooth.nnI was promised by Glen and Greg back in January that they’d be looking after my daughter but here we are 10 months later. 10 months, I am still pulling teeth to get someone to give me an update on this supposed insurance claim.nn10 months later and I have yet to see any reimbursement of any sort for what has happened to my daughter and with the growing cost this is now over $2,000. I am at my wits end at this stage and really starting to wonder how such a lack of care and communication is possible.nnMy daughter has to live with the consequences of the negligence of the club and the resulting incident for the rest of her life, and here I am trying to get someone to give me an update or follow up the claim with the insurance company. After all the stress that has already been caused by getting her tooth knocked out, a healthy adult tooth, then having to get it placed back into her mouth, then having to have a root canal, and now has to be taken out because it didn’t survive the trauma, while she is only 10 years old, I just can’t believe that I know have to follow up on this on a weekly basis because the team just does not seem to care enough to get this sorted or followed up on. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Shame on you for thinking it’s okay to treat people like this.
Just an average bowl’o, food was ok nothing spectacular but not rubbish either.. food, drinks and lawn bowls.. nothing more nothing less.. dog and kid friendly
Have always loved this club however tonight the food was beyond disappointing. Roast beef with roast vegetable and mash- not a single roast veg on the plate and barely any variety. Very bland and certainly not worth the money. To top it off, mushrooms were included? I have an allergy to mushrooms but would never have considered these a roast dinner food. My friend ordered the Thai beef salad and again beyond disappointing - very little beef and what there was was thin and a lot of money just for some salad greens. The Greek souvlaki however was fantastic. Very expensive for not very good.
