I visited The Good Guys in Preston today with my mum, and to be honest, we were both very hesitant to even walk through the doors due to a disappointing experience we’d had there in the past. However, this visit was a completely different story—thanks entirely to a staff member named May.nnFrom the moment we met her, May was warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. She completely put us at ease with her approachable nature and her clear passion for helping customers. She took the time to listen carefully to our needs, asked thoughtful questions, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, without ever being pushy or salesy. Her product knowledge was excellent, and she went above and beyond to make sure we felt informed and confident in what we were buying.nnWhat really stood out was how genuine she was—May truly cared that we had a great experience, and that made all the difference. Because of her outstanding service, I ended up spending $500 over my original budget, and I can honestly say I have no regrets. She made what could have been a stressful shopping trip into a really positive and enjoyable one.nnMay is an absolute asset to The Good Guys team, and I hope she is recognised for the incredible work she does. Had a failed delivery attempt yesterday from online purchase and seeking help from closest TGG store to get solution. I would say the experience I had today instore with the customer service team especially Tracey hope I get it right was professional, pleasant, and experienced to support. Walked out the store I felt calm and clear about the upcoming steps. Hopefully things will go smoothly. Appreciate it.
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding the recent service my family and I received. As long-time customers, we have always trusted your company for reliable service, but this latest experience has been nothing short of appalling.nnOver the weekend, our refrigerator broke down, prompting us to purchase a new one from your store on Tuesday. We arranged and paid for next-day delivery, expecting the process to be as smooth and efficient as in the past.nnHowever, on Wednesday, we waited patiently during the estimated delivery window without receiving any updates. Much later in the day, we finally received a text message stating that our delivery would arrive in two minutes. We were relieved—only for no one to show up. Just five minutes after that message, we received another text informing us that the delivery had to be rescheduled for the following day, Thursday, and that we would receive a call shortly with an estimated delivery time.nnThursday came, and once again, we waited at home without any communication from your team. After hours of waiting, we decided to call your customer service ourselves, only to be informed—shockingly—that the delivery had never even been processed into the system. We were then told that the fridge could not be delivered that day and that it would have to be delayed until Friday. To add to our frustration, no specific time frame for the Friday delivery was provided.nnAt this point, I am left with several pressing questions:nnWhy was our delivery not processed in the system immediately after purchase?nnWhy were we informed on Wednesday that the fridge would arrive in two minutes, only to receive a reschedule notice just five minutes later with no delivery attempt made? Was this some sort of joke?nnWhy was there no proactive communication from your team, leaving us to chase updates ourselves?nnThis entire ordeal has been not only inconvenient but has also caused a significant financial loss. All the food we had attempted to preserve has now spoiled and must be thrown out—amounting to hundreds of dollars wasted, which is especially devastating during the current cost-of-living crisis.nnFrankly, I am disgusted by the lack of professionalism and basic customer care shown throughout this process. As a result, I will no longer recommend your services to anyone, and I strongly advise reconsideration of your current delivery and communication protocols to prevent such outrageous experiences for future customers.
I just wanted to share a quick shoutout for one of your amazing team member- Malaika JnThis afternoon I was feeling pretty lost in the store and not sure who to ask for help since some of the staffs were busy with customers or most of them walking by without noticing. Just when I was starting to worry I’d be stuck for a while, Malaika spotted me right away, came over with smile and helped me out in no time. She's super chill, efficient, and knew exactly what to do. Thanks to her, what I thought would be a long, frustrating visit turned into a smooth, quick experience. I was in and out in five minutes! Really appreciate the great service! 5 stars to u Malaika !
