I purchased a TV from the Good Guys and was told that the delivery company would call me to organise delivery the next day. It is the next day and I haven't received a call.nnI'm now on the phone to The Good Guys in Northland but no one is picking up the phone. If they don't respond then I will go in store tomorrow and ask for a full refund of the purchase.nnupdate: I was sold the incorrect wall mount for my TV. The TV was too heavy for the wall mount. The good guys need to refund me for all the damages they have caused to my wall, more specifically Rapid Installz. Not only that, my TV is still on the floor and I haven't been able to enjoy my TV since I bought it, because no-one bothered to install it even though I paid for installation. The Good Guys haven't even bothered to call me to issue the refund so they owe me over $400. Whatever you do, don't buy from the Good Guys Northland because they are hopeless and extremely rude too. If I could give -10000 stars I would. Worst retailer in Australia, hands down. Plus they never pick up the phone.

Your professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made a huge difference, and you alone deserve the full 5 stars.nnHowever, I must highlight the completely unprofessional behaviour of another staff member. While Tarique was assisting us, a white gentleman walked over, took the computer Tarique was using, and began serving his own guest — right in the middle of our transaction. This alone was inappropriate, but what followed was worse.nTime it happened between 05:00 to 05:15PM on 30.11.25nnHe made comments toward us that felt rude, dismissive, and frankly, borderline racist. For instance, when we were purchasing an item, he abruptly said, “It’s $191 — you want it?” in a tone that was unnecessarily arrogant and condescending. His whole attitude felt as though we were being judged on how we look rather than being treated as valued customers.nnHe continued to speak over Tarique in front of us, telling him which computer to use, even though Tarique was already in the process of completing our payment. His behaviour was disruptive, unprofessional, and created an uncomfortable environment for us as customers and to his own staff.nnRespect should be shown to every customer, regardless of appearance or background.nnI am still leaving 5 stars purely because of Tarique’s exceptional service. But I genuinely hope management addresses this staff member’s behaviour, because arrogance and discriminatory undertones have no place in customer service.
I have been shopping with The Good Guys for years, but I am extremely disappointed with the conduct of a team member at this store. I placed an order online and called to confirm pick-up. The staff member I spoke with was not only rude, but also falsely told me that my order had been cancelled and questioned whether I had received the email. I informed her that I had received no such notification. Only moments later, I received an invoice stating that my order had been cancelled due to “unable to supply.”nnI then contacted the online sales team to see if the order could be transferred to another store. The representative asked if I had requested the cancellation. This confirmed that the staff member at the Preston store cancelled my order without my consent and without making any effort to offer alternatives or assist me in receiving my order.
I’d like to express gratitude to salesman Hamish S, who was a big help this afternoon with purchasing two small appliances. He also graciously loaded the heavy awkward boxes into my car for me. Thanks Hamish! Much appreciated
If you're looking for an air con don't bother. We bought a split unit and the installation team they hooked us up with has completely ghosted us. We are now having trouble finding someone to install our unit. Would recommend going else where, where they have reliable contacts for air con installation.
