Do not buy a TCL TV in New Zealand. Like others have reported the backlight on mine failed at 3 years 11 months. As it's outside of the factory warranty by 11 months they wouldn't help at all. Even though they have obligations under the New Zealand consumer gaurantees act they had no interest in discussing this. All calls to the NZ or AUS phone numbers go to the same call center in the Philippines. Eventually the retailer has organised to book in a repair themselves. Pay more for a TV that has an entity in NZ.
I had trouble changing from Google Home app to TV channels on turning on the tv. I called support and spoke to Jewel who walked me through the process and now when I turn my TCL 65C835 on the TV immediately opens to TV channels. Thank you Jewel well done. TCL support prompt, polite, with good outcomes. Good to deal with.

Had a 3 year old TV have an issue with the screen going black - failed backlights. Could’ve been a negative review, however the quality of service and the outcome from TCL once they were made aware of the issue has ensured not only a positive review from me, but a repeat customer in future. Entirely unacceptable customer service. My TV screen started having issue recently and I took evidence and sent it to their customer service. They offered a swap yet when the new one arrived after much delayed delivery it was already damaged inside the box. I took pictures and made many phones callsdue to no feedback and a week later, they deny any responsibility due to unsubstantiated claim that it was damaged during installation?!! This is beyond lazy customer service it’s basically criminal. Now I have no TV at all but a broken one inside a box occupying my living room during Christmas!!!
I rang TCL about my TV for technical support and Tristan answered my call. He was extremely helpful, polite and had the problem l was expecting sort out in no time. Keep up the great work Tristan. And thanks again for your assistance
I bought a TCL tv second hand and couldn’t get a free-to-air tv signal. I rang the help number on a Sunday and was talked through the process to reset the channels. Now it works perfectly! Fantastic service! I now have 2 TCL TVs and would definitely recommend the brand.
This morning I tried to turn on the TV. Nothing happened. Replaced the batteries in the remote and still not working. Found TLC hotline and Ian talked my husband through rebooting? the TV. It worked!!! Thank you Ian and thank TLC for having a hotline which made our experience stress free.
Having problem with setup wireless password, cannot detect keyboard pop up. Called customer service. Talked to a very helpful guy, Tristan. He is patience & helpful. And help me to get it worked. Bravo !!! Excellent !!!
Jewel was really helpful to solve my problem. My smart tv didn’t connect to internet and Jewel made me follow easy instructions to make it work again. Highly recommend Jewel. Very clear and easy following! Thanks very much
